I think it is a well put together commercial. Also I'm assuming Tim Hortons sponsors Crosby, which is why he is in every single one of their commercials.

That and he played "Tim Bit's" hockey when he was little. They didn't have it when I started but it is like the first league you play in when you start hockey as a kid.

He was part of it so of course they are going to plug that as well.

Tim Bit's hockey is so hilarious to watch. You literally see 10 kids chase a puck in a tiny cluster of shaky skating. The only players who seem to have a defined position are the goalies. It's pretty damn cute.

I don't really like Crosby, simply because the actual players call him a total whiner. However, I am glad that hockey is getting some attention because of him.

And for those that are sick of hearing his name, thanks a lot for starting a thread on LGW so I have to read his name AGAIN!

The only reason crosby scored is because the goalie was afraid of looking at his hideous face.

That would have a chance of being humorous if there were actually some sort of hideous feature about Crosby's face...but its not abnormal at all, nor especially ugly, so it is simply a very sophmoric statement. I mean, that could be more accurately said about Pavel Datsyuk, for example. Sheesh. Give it a rest already.

I'm starting to like the guy just because you guys are giving him such a rash of s*** it makes me want to stick up for him.

As much as I've hated on Crosby, and I really, really have... I'm beginning to just see him as a highly skilled player. I think a good portion of my dislike toward him stemmed from him being shoved down the hockey world's throats and his success against the Red Wings.

I've never been one to dislike a team/player if Detroit does not play them often, so while he still irks me about Crosby and the Pens winning at Joe Louis, I'll root for him during the Olympics.

I've never been one to dislike a team/player if Detroit does not play them often, so while he still irks me about Crosby and the Pens winning at Joe Louis, I'll root for him during the Olympics.

I live a lot, thanks. I'm taking "Early Release Friday" in about 15 minutes to go enduro riding thru the Cascade mountains all weekend. I'll be laughing a little with each wheelie and grinning ear to ear all weekend. Will have my laptop hooked up inside my van so I don't miss US v Canada Sunday. The only bummer is that it's too cold to wear my black Wings practice jersey (that matches my black and red GasGas fse 450), I'll have to wear a jacket instead.

I don't mean to be condescending, I just never thought making fun of someone's looks was funny. Especially after 7 pages of the weekly Crosby Sucks thread.

Crosby is not the best player in the league. Period. Which is why it bothers me not that he gets a lot of media attention, but that he gets ALL of it. Other great players should get SOME attention, even if Crosby would still get a slightly larger share. But isntead it's the Crosby show and nobody else matters.

It's stuff like that that bothers me. Crosby wasn't being discussed. In fact, it was USA's turn for the intro story. This happens all the time in other broadcasts. Anything mentioned that sounds even remotely like some barely-related-to-Crosby's-past item gets some huge elaborate explanation of how it relates to Crosby's life. Even during something like a Phoenix-Atlanta game.
