whatever happened to just naming arenas civic centers? or spectrums? or forums? or gardens like back in the old days?

ill never forget my times at maple leaf gardens and the ol forum in montreal. joe louis arena is great itself..but the times i was in those two arenas sent chills up and down my spine. unbelievable feeling.

And then SoGay Center. What immature joke are we supposed to make now?

You're in luck, friend!

They just signed their goaltender to a mutli-year extension and his name just so happens to be Pekka. They're just keeping things interesting is all.

Pontiac Silverdome... Ford Field

Tigers Stadium... Comerica Park

Palace of Auburn Hills... ???

Joe Louis Arena... ???

It's spreading and it's only a matter of time. Kinda sad, imo.

I agree....

Who remembers pine knob anyways.

I do.....I Still call it that and people still know where and what it is :)

I think Nashville should consider "Chris Hanson Arena"

I'll say this, regardless of what they call it, the nightlife around the Bridgestone building is much better than around the Joe. You're a very short walk from some great bars and music stores and live music venues and some awesome BBQ.

I'm a huge supporter of Detroit even living a stone's throw from Gotham but the pulse after the Predators games is just better.

Damn straight.

Up and down Broadway and then stagger over to Printer's Alley.

Take a taxi back to the hotel.

Nice!
