But just because Sidney is gone from these playoffs, he won't be forgotten. He's sure to appear regularly shooting pucks into a dryer (one wonders if Mrs. Lemieux allows him to take target practice in their basement) or peddling some other product.

The first comment was better than the original, especially this comment:

And Sergie Gonchar! Sergei,Sergei, Sergei.

You know how, after every series loss, the coach comes out and explains away the failures by listing all the various ailments his players have?

I fully expect Sergei Gonchar to be day-to-day with a frontal lobotomy.

That killed me.

I wonder why they didn't let the Penguins-homer Wyshynski write this piece...

Puck Daddy lets other teams' fans (or bloggers) write the eulogies. Wyshynski writes enough articles for them haha.

also, he had a baby yesterday!

Ladies and Jellpyspoons of the congregation, welcome here today for the eulogy of the 2010 Penguins. Ladies and jellyspoons, I'll be extremely brief as these matters are about those who live and breathe and not dead teams.

In the most succinct eulogy available about the 2010 Penguins is this: The 2009 Penguins were nothing but a FLUKE.

Ladies and gentlemen, this ends our sermon, go in peace.

As I said in another thread, maybe Pens fans should be thankful that Matt Cooke through his attempts at knee on knees did not inadvertently end C-Word's career, which is supposed to be highly improbably since they don't play together. Cooke still has A LOT of justice coming his way from the Hockey Gods. He already got one guy that used to play for Rimouski Océanic.

Fun Igloo fact: The only time the Stanley Cup was ever presented in the building, it was to the 2007-08 Detroit Red Wings.

I love this fun fact! This is worth throwing in every Pens fans face, for years to come!
