McAwesome 754 Report post Posted June 2, 2010 If we don't re-sign Bertuzzi, then Lombardi, Plekanec or Fedotenko, in that order, for the 2nd/3rd line tweener scoring winger. If we do re-sign Bertuzzi, then Chimera, Asham, Nystrom, Artyukhin, in that order, for the 3rd/4th line demolition derby role. Also, I agree with many here that Brookbank would be an affordable upgrade from Lilja that could 'keep the flies off" if we don't sign a forward who fights. Also, I agree with many here that Brookbank would be an affordable upgrade from Lilja that could 'keep the flies off" if we don't sign a forward who fights. If Holland wanted to toughen up the team he could do it by letting Lilja go and signing Brookbank and signing a guy like Nystrom. Brookbank is actually a solid defenseman, add mystrom and Abdelkader and our team is actually respectably tough. It would be sweet if Lilja decided to go so we signed Brookbank and a tough forward, we could do both.

moefolds 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2010 If we could bump some salary some how Kovulchuk and Datsyuk on the same line would be amazing. But is not gonna happen with that being said I do like Nystrom being he's a michigan guy, and fits what we need.
