Bring Back The Bruise Bros 1,029 Report post Posted July 25, 2010 Pouliot is most likely a depth signing.I can see Durno playing on the 3rd or 4th line.
DangleDangleBeach 16 Report post Posted July 25, 2010 they both can play 3rd and 4th line. durno was a ppg when sent down to the minors last year by the avs and pouliot nice sign for TB. Surprised Pouliot had to take a 2-way deal. Pouliot looked very good in the 2nd half last year for Edmonton after coming back from his injury, scored at a 16-16-32/82 games playing 3rd/4th line minutes with no PP time, which is excellent. Bring Back The Bruise Bros 1,029 Report post Posted July 25, 2010 Dan Ellis is gonna be the key in how far they go.
jollymania 162 Report post Posted July 25, 2010 I just remember pouliot getting absolutely hammered by someone a few years ago and i don't remember him ever being in the nhl since
Bring Back The Bruise Bros 1,029 Report post Posted July 25, 2010 I'm expecting Pouliot to be playing in Norfolk most of the year unless the Lightning run into injury problems.
Guest mindfly Report post Posted July 25, 2010 (edited) Stevie is loading up with french players... I bet Guy Boucher was high on him Edited July 25, 2010 by mindfly
hooon 1,089 Report post Posted July 26, 2010 That's it. The Stanley Cup is theirs. Durno is the final piece. Wings and Lightning in the Finals. Stevie vs. the Wings? Does. Not. Compute. That would be exciting though. I'm surprised at how much I'm looking forward to seeing these guys next season.
F2B&G 15 Report post Posted July 26, 2010 Played at Michigan Tech. Did not expect that to be the first reply. He's almost 30. It was cool to see him finally get some playing time in the big show last year and get his first NHL goal, even if it was with the Avs.
Hiei 192 Report post Posted July 27, 2010 Ellis is a good goalie. I think Smith will outduel him though long term.
cjm502 165 Report post Posted July 27, 2010 Pouliot has some pretty good talent and potential. He could very well be a Cleary, Eaves, Lilja, Samuelsson type guy for them.
jollymania 162 Report post Posted July 27, 2010 Pouliot has some pretty good talent and potential. He could very well be a Cleary, Eaves, Lilja, Samuelsson type guy for them. the problem is he got absolutely destroyed by someone a few years ago (someone please help me here, i htink it was ohlund) and has disappeared since
cjm502 165 Report post Posted July 27, 2010 the problem is he got absolutely destroyed by someone a few years ago (someone please help me here, i htink it was ohlund) and has disappeared since Same exact think happened to our good ol' Patty Eaves and now he is getting ready to have the best season of his NHL career on the 4th line. Yes, I feel safe saying that.

Bring Back The Bruise Bros 1,029 Report post Posted July 27, 2010 I think Durno will be a regular in Tampa Bay's lineup, but they're stacked with centers, and I'm not sure if Pouliot could play wing. He'll most likely be a 13th or 14th forward.
jollymania 162 Report post Posted July 27, 2010 176 well the dud has done nothing in his career, there is no way he is another eaves
dat's sick 1,002 Report post Posted July 27, 2010 176 20 games, 176 games, what's the difference?? 156 to be exact. Wow, that's a lot!
jollymania 162 Report post Posted July 27, 2010 20 games, 176 games, what's the difference?? 156 to be exact. Wow, that's a lot! 176 isn't exactly a lot of games, and he has done nothing, tbh I don't know why there is an argument over a TB 4th liner who has had a history of getting laid out on occasion on this board
toby91_ca 620 Report post Posted July 27, 2010 Pouliot is most likely a depth signing.I can see Durno playing on the 3rd or 4th line. I don't know, in my opinion, Pouliot is a better player and is much younger, but that doesn't mean he'll get playing time over Durno. Need to look at needs (centre, wing, etc.) they both can play 3rd and 4th line. durno was a ppg when sent down to the minors last year by the avs and pouliot nice sign for TB. Surprised Pouliot had to take a 2-way deal. Pouliot looked very good in the 2nd half last year for Edmonton after coming back from his injury, scored at a 16-16-32/82 games playing 3rd/4th line minutes with no PP time, which is excellent. Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't think Durno was anywhere close to being a ppg player at anytime last year. Where are you getting that info?
