Should I complain about the jersey customization?

Rate this topic

Hi everyone - I need some advice. I purchased a Red Wings Winter Classic jersey from SportsK a few weeks ago and had it customized to add the Chelios name and 24 number to the jersey. I received the jersey yesterday, and while the quality of the materials used and the sewing is excellent, I noticed that the numbers are not aligned on the back of the jersey.

Attached is a picture showing the probem: the 4 is higher than the 2. I looked at some of my other jerseys and they do not have this problem.

Should I complain to SportsK or should I just let it go. Anyone else have this problem on their customized jerseys?

Let me ask u this, did you need the ruler to tell they weren't aligned or is it something you noticed right off the bat? I have never checked any of my 10 or 11 Jersey's with a ruler... I say let it go if you can't tell by looking.

Booster that is unacceptable. If you pay for a blu-ray player and it has a broken button would you keep it? If you pay for a product to be done professionally you should get a professional product.

I would have never noticed the number being off though.

I understand both sides but that sort of makes sense to me broken button, take it back, a scratch on the back or bottom of the player, and I don't really care. Point is it depends on how bad the defect is. I bet if I took a ruler to my closet and started measuring seems, hems, etc I would have to return most of my clothes.

I'm sure they would fix it for you. I've always had great service there. But with it just being off a bit I might be afraid of fixing it since the numbers are sewn on, might be able to tell where they were before..or not. Just thinking out loud.

it doesn't look like a big deal to me but they did f*** up and if you want you could probably get them to fix it

but even if you don't get it fixed i doubt anybody's gonna be able to notice it, obviously you will cause that's gonna be the first thing you think of when you look at it... but if you want them to redo it just so you can get that out of the back of your head every time you look at it, you have every right to

Actually I did notice the numbers being off when I pulled it out of the package. I did a double take, and it was only then that I pulled out a ruler to confirm or deny it.

Hey, I'm not really anal about this, however now that I know the numbers are not straight I will always know they are not straight.

Not sure what to do. Maybe I should just contact SportsK and inform them of the problem and see what they say.

If you noticed it then give them a call... You should be happy with your purchase.

if i f*** up your haircut because you can't sit still...its on you. if i f*** it up and your not sitting still...my bad. a jersey doesn't move. send it back and tell them that you could have gotten it from china for 1/10 the cost and NOT had that problem

That's why I buy from dhgate. $30-$40 for a jersey, might be a few imperfections but nothing I can't live with. In fact, the Lids winter classic jersey I purchased for 29.95 is waaaaay better than the jersey I bought at the Classic when I was drunk and thought it'd be a good idea to fork over $150 for it.

That could very well be with shipping included. I got one from DHGate for $42 shipped. The imperfections were too much for me, but some of the Winter Classic ones look fairly accurate.

Thanks for all the replies. I decided that I can live with it (it is very minor) and will not contact SportsK. I guess the reason I posted about this was to find out if others had similar experiences with SportsK because I was/am going to send them another blank Red Wings jersey I have for customization.
