Toews is knocked out of the St. Louis game with an "upper body injury".

Judging by the hit, probably his shoulder.

Update: Brouwer went to the dressing room after blocking a shot off his foot.

Quick hits from Wednesday’s practice

Share ANAHEIM – Some quick notes from a fairly lengthy practice/workout at Honda Center …

Getzlaf

–Ryan Getzlaf’s facial injury sounded more severe than first thought given coach Randy Carlyle’s description of the Ducks captain.

Getzlaf took a puck to his forehead on Tuesday night against Phoenix and left the game. He was not at Honda Center as he was told to stay home and keep the swelling down after he needed 10 stitches to close the cut.

“There’s quite a gash there,” Carlyle said. “He had bleeding into his nasal cavity … and he felt nauseous at times because of the blood draining into his stomach.”

Carlyle said it was too early to determine when Getzlaf would be available “until we see a little bit more of him and where he’s at at the rink.”

From TSN:

The injury-plagued New York Rangers lost two more key forwards Wednesday when Brandon Dubinsky and Ruslan Fedotenko were ruled out for several weeks.

A few hours before their 7-0 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Rangers said that Dubinsky, who has a team-high 17 goals and 38 points, will be sidelined three to four weeks because of a stress fracture in his left leg. The centre was examined by team doctor Andrew Feldman earlier in the day, and an MRI and bone scan revealed the fracture in his left fibula.
