It may also be channel 108. That's where my incarnation of Buckeye Cable digital puts FSD+.

I'll have to keep an eye out for that channel then. Noticed that the game shows up in the guide on channels 110 and 643 starting @ midnight???

He's got a slight ankle issue. It's enough of an excuse for Babcock to get Hudler some playing time.

Works for me. Hudler better make the most of his time if he wants to keep playing. I hope they get some good minutes at least.

My apologies, it's 110, not 108. That's what I get for not checking before posting!

pistons are winless doubt anyone would care if they'd cut the broadcast short so they can show the wings in hd. determination....

I was also wondering about this before....usually you bump the 0-5 team to FSN Plus and keep the hot 7-2 team on the main broadcast channel.

This is what pisses me off year after year. The Wings are always being thrown on FSD+ because the pistons and tigers are somehow that much more important. Come on, the pistons blow and the tigers play 162 games a year.

thing is I wouldn't mind in the least if it was in hd or broadcast in a way that doesn't look like crap.

I agree, thats the problem I have with it. I have FSD+, but the quality is horrible.

Anyone else think we should put Ozzie in tonight and save Howie for Sat vs. the Canucks?

Or will Howie be fine for 2 in a row?

I hope howies in tonight and tommorrow, the more the better he's amazing imo,i says wings 5-1 in this but howard with a shutout would be nice too.

It's taking a 4:3 picture (not widesreen) and stretching it to fit the 16:9 widescreen TV. It's terrible and I find it better to just watch the 4:3 picture with the black bars on the sides.

It's normally either a problem with how your cable box is performing an upconversion of the video feed.

It could also be:

Reformatting 4:3 content to fit a 16:9 screen causes video distortion

Not sure what cameras Fox uses, but they're probably 2.35:1 or 2.4:1 ratio. Your HDTV displays 1.77:1 ratio, so unless they letterbox it on the top and sides that can cause video distortion as well.

but even when you do watch it 4:3 with the bars, the quality is still s***tier than if you were to watch it on a standard def TV
