Guest Crymson Report post Posted December 28, 2010 (edited) This play works! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRvEqV4dopQ&feature=player_embedded#! In other news, Babcock still doesn't smile. Edited December 28, 2010 by Crymson
titanium2 867 Report post Posted December 28, 2010 Hopefully the Wings know how to defend that if anyone were to try it on them.
Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted December 28, 2010 Nick plows through the defensive line like a fullback, and Nik guns through the hole for the touchdown. Just how Schwartz drew it up.

Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted December 28, 2010 Whenever we get a PP, we should try to get it to 4v3.

MotorCityMadness 388 Report post Posted December 28, 2010 I like that set play on the 4 on 3...wish they would try it on a 5-3 (when we get one every 38+ games) as well cause a lot of times you know a shot is coming when Lids and Raf execute the "switch" as Mickey Redmond always says
haroldsnepsts 4,826 Report post Posted December 28, 2010 Nice! Clearly a set play for 4 on 3. Even the same players. You can see in last night's Lids holds the puck until Kronwall gets set up to follow him. It's definitely a go for broke move though, because if Kronwall's shot doesn't get through, he's the only guy with any chance of getting back.
lookalive07 251 Report post Posted December 29, 2010 Eh, I'd think whoever's playing forward would realize pretty quickly to cover for the shot taker if the shot didn't go through. But yeah, almost carbon copy play.

But yeah, almost carbon copy play. They couldn't afford to ignore Lidstrom.
titanium2 867 Report post Posted December 29, 2010 Ridiculous shot both times. Especially the one against the Coyotes.

But yeah, almost carbon copy play. Yeah. I'm just saying that three of the four guys are below the faceoff dots, Kronwall being the only one back. Hopefully he'll just keeping getting that shot through and on net.
