Would the Wings want anybody on the Islanders right now?

Trade them the rights to Larsson for a bag of pucks & future considerations.

Looks like Poulin's done for the year now. Surgery required on his dislocated knee cap.

Tavares, Grabner, Hamonic, and Okposo are the only people on their roster right now that are worth a damn, and even Snow knows better than to trade from their small pool of good young players for a rental goalie. It's one sad sack organization.

Some guys you missed:

F: P.A. Parenteau, Blake Comeau, Frans Nielsen

D: Andrew MacDonald.

Nobody really thought he would end up in Detroit. It was completely obvious that Nabby wanted to at the very least play for a playoff team not some going nowhere bottom dweller or be buried in the minors. Snow claiming him was certainly within the rules, but still a complete dick move. It's no surprise that Nabby's kindly telling them to f*** off. If a playoff bound team claims him he probably shows up with no problems.

Even if he did make it to Detroit, a detail that a lot of people seem to be overlooking is that he was coming here because he wanted Howard's job. He didn't want to help a playoff team by recording stats on the bench.

To me, still not a dick move by Snow. A good goalie was available at a great price, and he had a legitimate need. He has a responsibility to his fans and his owner. If Detroit was ever in that situation and Holland had passed, we'd likely all be screaming that he's an idiot.

This whole signing by Holland is still just such a bizarre move to me. He had to know Nabby would never end up in Detroit, so what exactly was he doing? At the price he signed him for, Holland was basically chumming the waters.
