How about...
Cleary - Datsyuk - Hudler
Holmstrom - Zetterberg - Franzen
Bertuzzi - Filppula - Abdelkader
Modano - Helm - Eaves
Ken Holland: He’s (Mursak) a young guy, provides energy, can skate, he’s a puck hound.

I think when Flip returns, time to blow up that 2nd line.
How about...
Cleary - Datsyuk - Hudler
Holmstrom - Zetterberg - Franzen
Bertuzzi - Filppula - Abdelkader
Modano - Helm - Eaves
Cleary - Datsyuk - Hudler
Holmstrom - Zetterberg - Bertuzzi
Franzen - Filppula - Abdelkader
Modano - Helm - Eaves
Until Franzen starts playing abit better and stop being a liability on the ice. Hudler got that treatment, and Franzen hasn't done anything in the last 10 games.

Does Rafalski actually know how to play hockey? Sometimes I wonder.
Also, was he on the ice when Ericsson made the bad pass? Maybe it's contagious.
"He even ate with women who at that time were accorded the same status as the family donkey. Are we willing to break bread with, say, child sex slaves, transgender teens and undocumented workers? Because when Jesus comes back to Earth, that's where he'll be hanging."
You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him.
Money on the Board - 100 bucks on the base. From here on, one buck per puck IN goal, win or lose!
Total right now: $105.

1) That was a bad goal for Howard to let in, especially in the dying minute of the period; it resulted from his bad rebound, doing the splits for no reason and then got completely beat to the other side. While he is not to blame at all, it is goals like that that make me question if we can depend on him in the playoffs.
2) Howard is amazing with shootouts this year... but it seems that anytime a team has a breakaway during play with Howard in net it goes in every single time.. and every time all he does is fall to his stomach and slide back and the opposing player just raises it (tho we cannot blame a goalie for allowing a break away goal)it is simply an observation.
3) I love the officiating this game. Aside from the 2 calls that had to be made and that terrible call on Hudler, I would say the refs have done a fine job with this game and this game reminds me of several reasons why I, along with the NHL is going to really miss Bill McCeary.
Hopefully the boys can get going in the 3rd and come back.

We will miss McCreary.
I hope he thinks about writing a book. Probably wouldn't sell well enough, but I'd love to know who those players are he thinks have no respect for the game.

where is the Mule? guy is invisible!
Still hungover from his postgame party in Ottawa two weeks ago.
The one thing I don't get in games like this is all the pretty plays and cute s*** by the Wings.. I mean they are one of the few teams that has the skills to make those plays and finish them off.. but save it for a game you are dominating.. look at how both of Cleary's goals were scored.. drive the net. Seems like it should be simple logic to me.
It's easier to play lazy than to work hard.

guys what is with the hate for the Z line? Sure, they are not having a great game today but how about all these games prior?? No line is good game in and game out so relax. I will say 3 things:
1) That was a bad goal for Howard to let in, especially in the dying minute of the period; it resulted from his bad rebound, doing the splits for no reason and then got completely beat to the other side. While he is not to blame at all, it is goals like that that make me question if we can depend on him in the playoffs.

I don't think anyone has a problem with the Z line, just with Franzen right now. Hes floating and not backchecking again like he does soo many times during the year. No hustle, no hitting, not even really trying to set anything up. On that last goal, Z was in the corner with 2 shark players, meanwhile Franzen was waiting in the other corner all by himself waiting for a pass that wasn't coming, then when turned over he patiently skated back to the bench and called for a line change. The other players on the line are trying to get it going and hes just being bad.

Send that to the Detroit dressing room.

Mule needs a goal
Z needs a goal
We need to give up 0 goals.
BigRig needs redemption (crushing hit or something)
Start of the 4rd!
