Kings fire Murray

Not a surprise. This team has more offensive talent than last season but is struggling to score goals even more than they did last year.

He's came there and implemented a solid defensive system, but his affect seems to have been limited to that.

The assistant coach is apparently not that much different than Murray, so I'm guessing they're shopping around.

About time. I like the Kings, and they really shouldn't be having as tough a time scoring as they are. For a while now they've just struggled to find the net and a new voice and more offensive minded approach and they should be on their way.

I heard GM Dean Lombardi flew to Boston, and blamed the team for the firing. He got called out on the NHL Network for not taking any responsibility on himself as well.

I honestly thought they'd be better. They made the playoffs the last two seasons, and made moves to get even better in the offseason. I know they have some injuries, but there's too many underperforming players right now.

So it was Lombardi who said the players were to blame. There's a mutiny waiting to happen.

And whomever it was who suggested Randy Carlisle might not have a bad idea.

I thought he would be out the door some time this season. He's taken them as far as he can, it's time to bring in a coach that can get them to the finals. Or at least the final four, for our sake. Kind of like another certain Murray that had to be fired so that we could bring in some guy named Bowman that knew how to make a good team better. I don't know how it would work with the close distance between LA and Anaheim, but Carlyle is the kind of coach that can get The Kings back together, and make a run, either this year or next.
