Vladiator 116 Report post Posted January 28, 2012 http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=386262 I think that the Hawks got the best of this trade. Looks like the Hawks or loading up for a run into the playoffs. Thoughts?

Buppy 1,720 Report post Posted January 28, 2012 Pretty insignificant move. Helps their depth at center, but I don't think it really makes than any more dangerous than they already were.

Guest Crymson Report post Posted January 28, 2012 Brendan Morrison is not a big deal. I do not think Holland cares much.
IllinoisRedWingsFan 49 Report post Posted January 28, 2012 For a minute thought I though it was Brendan Morrow. I would have said "This would be the worse Birthday for me ever." But in reality I don't see old Kenny worrying too much about this one. 1 55fan reacted to this
Nev 1,085 Report post Posted January 28, 2012 Never thought that much to him when he was in his prime, just the guy who passed the puck to Nasland and Bertuzzi. I don't think he's the answer to the Hawks lack of a #2 centre.

hooon 1,089 Report post Posted January 28, 2012 Morrison adds almost nothing to their team. If this is the Hawks big deadline move they've been waiting for, color me unimpressed. This seems exactly like the type of player the Hawks DON'T need. They spent their offseason acquiring aging over-the-hill players who are well past their primes in Brunette, Mayers, Montador, O'Donnell, and now they sign an undersized 36 year old with serious injury problems. unsaddleddonald 357 Report post Posted January 28, 2012 This isn't the early 2000s Brendan Morrison who played on the Bert-Naslund line. Very vanilla move.
Jedi 1,865 Report post Posted January 28, 2012 I updated the topic title to help try and avoid the "Chicago got Brendan Morrow?!?!?!" confusion. This deal seems more like a move to find someplace for Morrison to play. He had pretty limited ice time in Calgary, from what I've read so far.
GMRwings1983 8,794 Report post Posted January 28, 2012 The Hawks will be our biggest competitor during the trade deadline. Another original 6 team, with a younger core and a great future in terms of Cup contention. Holland will have to be brash to outwit their GM. 1 Frozen-Man reacted to this
