As long as Kronner isn't hurting himself I like this new style he hits with. There really is not debate about whether his latest hits are clean or not. They're perfect, clean, beautiful hits. No headhunting, no elbows, no nothing. Just big, awesome hits.

No, there's still debate. The hit on Kesler is charging, no doubt.

Not really, he had one foot still on the ice at the point of contact.

I guess this shows that there is still debate then. To me, looks like he gets both feet off the ice, quite a bit before the point of contact. If you focus on Kronwall's body in the slow motion part of the video, you can see very clearly when contact is made....if you immediately look down at the feet, they are already very far off the ice.

How is the Malone hit from 2008 not in there? The one that busted his nose? That produced something I've never seen. The exact same situation occured in the next home game, Pens breaking out up the right wing boards, the puck came to Malone with Kronwall heading towards him....and instead of helping the puck out the zone, Malone backed off to avoid being hit again, which lead directly to a turnover and the Wings regaining possesion of the puck.

The power of The Kronwall.

It's no doubt NOT charging. I don't even know how you can have that opinion.

It easily could've been called a charge with the standard they're using this season. His right skate comes way up off the ice, and the left one does too though not as high, due to his leaping motion.

That's the other great thing besides the hit itself. A huge hit like that can rattle players and make them more tentative carrying the puck out of the zone.

Kronner has that Steven's like ability to reverse direction right when the guy starts looking down to play the puck.
