Guest irishock Report post Posted February 22, 2012 Good news is we have a lot of home games during this 2-3 week stretch when Datsyuk sits. I'm guessing he'll return sometime before the four game road trip out West.

Red Wings Addict 787 Report post Posted February 22, 2012 He has surgery the same day I do. Misery loves company??? Get well soon, Pasha - we'll be missing you for sure! Based on Pavel's overall philosophy in life, which is have fun with whatever you're doing, I wouldn't be surprised if he found a way to have fun with the whole process, as silly as that may sound. If he had general anesthesia: Doc: "Okay Pavel, count down from 10..." Pav: "I have better idea. 9... 12... 7... 10... 1... 19... And then 5... 13..." crispychris 45 Report post Posted February 22, 2012 I'm looking at it like this. We are in 1st overall so no need to rush him back till he is 100%. It will be good for him to get some rest. This is a great opratunaty for someone to step up. GET WELL SOON #13 we NEED you!!!!!!
Kira 451 Report post Posted February 22, 2012 Perhaps at the same venue? No, unfortunately not. Would have been a nice neighbor in same day surgery, though!
puckbags 863 Report post Posted February 22, 2012 Pav earned some Hart trophy votes from me last night and he didn't even have to play lol. We are still a good team without him but if this was a long term injury we would HAVE to make a move.
Ram 240 Report post Posted February 22, 2012 Listening to clowns on 97.1 sometimes makes me want to vomit. Saying that we aren't getting the full report about Dats and that it's possible now with the Quincy pickup that Brendan Smith could be moved with someone else to get Nash. Totally not gonna happen. If Pavel was playing well before the surgery, how exactly is he going to be more hurt than before?

Kira 451 Report post Posted February 23, 2012 I know it must have been something really serious for Pasha to request it, because I know he has a history of playing hurt. I still think it's better to have it done now.

Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted February 23, 2012 Once he gets back are we sending Z to get his back checked? Then Mule for his motivation gland? The entire team last night was a bit off. Chicago's big guns didn't exactly light it up, either.
Kira 451 Report post Posted February 23, 2012 And now it looks like he's started the rehab already. "I looked in my locker and didn't find any tickets to Florida." Guest stinky fish taco Report post Posted February 24, 2012 any hope of finishing first in the western conference is now gone. anyone want to pile on some more negs? no way this team finishes ahead of vancouver without pavel for 2-3 weeks. 1 55fan reacted to this

Guest stinky fish taco Report post Posted February 27, 2012 update: datsyuk will be out 3 weeks instead of 2 (per holland). it was going to be hard enough to stay ahead of vancouver as it was. the canucks have an easier schedule to finish off the season. without datsyuk for 2 weeks? no chance. anyone still disagree with me?
