Nashville getting all the chances in the world......jsut getting completely outplayed.

If you don't count the 10 minutes of penalties it is a pretty even period.

Hard to get momentum when you have to play against the best powerplay in the league.

The fix is in. Detroit can't win this series, Gary has clearly made Nashville the 2012 project.

He figured if the refs can keep us from playing 5v5, we'll lose. Put us on the PK or PP and we're sunk. And that's what he's done thus far.

First goal was lucky and I was frustrated because it looked like we came to play. The rest of the period can only be summed up by the fact that we are lucky to only be down 1.

Down by 1 on a fluke goal on the road after one, things could be MUCH worse, eapecially in light of the way the game is being reffed. This has to be some of the worst ice I've ever seen in the playoffs.

Wow, okay, this is pretty rough. They're calling this game way too tight when half of the penalties they've given were not warranted. Yip may have gotten an elbow up, but that's pretty tame. Franzen's was definitely a make up call. Not sure what they were thinking on Abdelkader's penalty though.

Wings don't look like they're in playoff mode yet, with the exception of a few players. But even with a bad bounce and the penalties they're only down by one.

Sucks to be down because of that garbage goal. On the other hand, it could be worse. We killed off a bunch of penalties and Jimmy saved us a few times.

We looked pretty good 5-on-5 imo, but obviously the Preds got some momentum from being up a man. They are a tough team, they're not giving the Wings much time with the puck.

But I'm hopeful they can regroup and come out strong in the 2nd.

Really, really hope the refs won't call things like this all series. Ruins the enjoyment playoff hockey and doesn't favor the Wings.
