This is great news! Is it me or has Detroit been signing a lot more of their draft picks a lot earlier than usual? Nonetheless, this guy must have impressed them enough that he garnered a contract!

The only thing now is, that just means he has that much less years for waiver exemption. What is it 3 years after their first pro contract? I could be wrong on that...anyhow, Welcome to the D (or I should say the G for now) Evgeny!
