I'll never forget you Ken

You know, the more I think about it, the more I think Yzerman's worst trade was DLR for Fabbri. This team's goal differential really went to crap defensively after that. Everything else he did had little effect one way or the other, and you can't blame a guy for trying.

Think about it. Fabbri sucks defensively and can't outscore/outdrive this.

DLR couldn't score but was able to compensate by playing outstanding D.

I'm willing to bet this team's goal diff pre trade was better (adjusted for games played of course) than post trade

I did the math. Our goal diff per game before Fabrri was -1.94. Post Fabrri is -1.68. Suck it, DLR.

This is where I do that thing where I shift the argument to a more winnable narrative

No doubt DLR was Ehn light

But Fabbri is pretty deece defensively. I love that he hits like he's 6'3"

False. Prasanth actually broke down Fabbri's defensive game on The Athletic's "Wings for Breakfast" podcast. Spoiler: he's not good at it.

Fabbri is better at defense than Zadina thou

What? No he's not. Zadina has been better than Fabbri using almost every metric except 5v5 scoring (not sure where I picked up this last bit but apparently it's true)

What statistical parameters are you using?

I'd hate to have to... reject your premise

Some math freak in the discord is saying the team goal differential got worse once Zadina joined the team.

This is my stance now.

Cuz Fabbri was bumped down a line and was asked to play better defensively. But he couldn't.

But the math shows it's because of a significantly higher % of games with Howard, and not Zadina's fault.
