So real talk, my buddy was at this game, and he finally called me today. His family is long time season ticket holders so he gets into the olympia club and all those fancy perks. Guess who he says he saw going into the owners box?.. Marian Hossa along with another guy that looked an awful lot like Patrick Kane... but he couldnt tell if it was him or not, so he asked the security guard, and the guard said, and I quote: "trading bertuzzi was the worst mistake the wings have made since franzen over hossa". My friend naturally agreed with the man, but never found out if that was Kaner or not. Just thought youd all like to know.

And that's why he's a security guard and not a GM for the Red Wings.  Same reason Ken Holland is no longer a GM for the Red Wings and is leading Edmonton into a rebuild of a rebuild of rebuild of a rebuild.  We did find moving Bertuzzi.  He was worth 4.5 mil a season for 8 or 5 mil for 4.  He wanted 7.  Sionara, Bertuzzi.  Best of luck.

Yzerrman probably told security to distract nosy fans by saying something stupid and confusing.

When the Leafs miss the playoffs and we reacquire Bert at the TDL this year you will say things like "I like you Bert" and "holy jumpin the junkyard dog is a friggen silverback beast!" and you will remember this moment.

I highly doubt it.  He would get some BIG publicity if anyone even caught a glimpse of him.  And it would damage his leverage.  So I would say 1/1,000,000 change.  But you never know.  It's not like he can't rehab where he wants to rehab and catch games when he wants to catch games.  I just think he'd want to keep his destination desires close to the vest for $ leverage.  But it wouldn't surprise me if his agent and Yzerman already have this all worked out.  The Fabbri LTIR move is a favor Robby is doing for the team.  It wouldn't surprise me if all of Fabbri's 81 games go on LTIR this year and Yzerman frees up close to 4 mil.

Bertuzzi would be a good asset to replace Fabbri with

1. If Toronto is out of the race by the TDL and we deal with them, it won't be for Bertuzzi, it'll be Nylander.

2. Trading Bertuzzi got us DeBrincat, so, no, it was not a mistake. Far from it!

3. Yes, choosing Franzen over Hossa was a mistake.

4. I was NOT the security guard.

5. Kane will be a Red Wing.
