Glizzy Lizzy went viral, but apparently the term started in D.C.. I'm a glizzy lover myself.. Nathans, Hebrew national, and ballpark dogs are my favorites.

I prefer a natural casing on my hotdog. Koegel's vienna dogs are my favorite (being a Michigan guy), but shoutout to Sahlen's in Buffalo NY for making a damn fine natural casing dog as well.

I thought glizzy was slang for gun, as in gl(ock)+ -izzy.

Well apparently people call hotdogs "glizzys" as well. Who knew?

That was the original meaning but but these slang words seem to get new definitions every other generation.

Google glizzy gobbler and check out some videos for a good laugh.

Quick aside: How long have other people called hotdogs "glizzys"? Like, I'm a hotdog fanatic. I eat them all the time. I get coneys even more often than that. I routinely talk about hotdogs, have hotdog tshirts, and have Joey Chestnut facts off the top of my head. Point is, I feel like I've got my thumb on top of hotdog culture and I only JUST heard this term. Where did this come from?

I'm with you on this, and also I'm not calling them zoomer regard s*** like 'glizzy'. It's a dog or STFU.

Here in Seattle there's a gentlemen named Matt with an impressive hotdog stand outside the Boeing factory. This ******* has on his menu 1. Chicago dog 2. New York Dog 3. Seattle Dog 4. Matt's Famous Dog (beanless chili, yellow mustard, and chopped onions)

I think about this daily. And I want to hurt Matt terribly.

In Detroit it's pretty much Koegel's or Kowalski's or KYS. Every city seems to have a better hot dog brand than ballparks, nathans, or hewbrews (which aren't hebrew whatsoever, total marketing ploy)
