Edvinsson

SRL- 2nd/1st pair --- AF- 2/3 D

assuming you mean 2/3 out of 6 not 2/3 pair exact same.

ASP

SRL- 3rd pair/1st pair --- AF- ASP - 2RD

averages out to exact same.

Johansson

SRL- 3rd pair/2nd pair --- AF- fringe

assuming you think AJo can make it as 3rd pair not far off.

Danielson

SRL- 3rd C/1st C --- AF- 2C

averages out to exact same.

Berggren

SRL- 3rd LW/2nd LW --- AF- Fabbri (middle 6w)

exact same

Kasper

SRL- 4th C/2nd C --- AF- Copp/Compher (maybe 2C)

basically same you seem a little higher.

Mazur

SRL- 4th RW/3rd RW --- AF- middle 6 at best

basically same you seem a little higher.

Everyone else is fringe/boom or bust.

Ya way too optimistic.

You are too, then.

To be honest, I never really put that much effort into examining your list. It just struck me as overly optimistic without much thought. Funny to see others put more effort into comparing us then I ever did from the beginning.

I am VERY optimistic about D and G.  Im very pessimistic about F.  I don't see any star talent anywhere.  Just a lot of middle 6 level talent.

What if that middle 6 talent gives us four lines that can score, and play D(I see no bad ass checkers) and not be a liability. Would that negate the need for the STAR?

Thats a good question.  Florida has good D and a rock star goalie without a lot of star power up front.  Barkov and Tkachuk are tasty, but Florida is winning with defense and muckers potting clutch goals.  We may just be ok with Larkin/Raymond/Debrincat/Danielson as our big pay F group.  A lot will depend on Cossa, Edvinsson, Johansson, and ASP developing into shut down guys and our forward group learning how to play playoff hockey quickly
