LeftWinger 5,177 Report post Posted Saturday at 09:14 PM Dylan Larkin continues on an impressive journey with an eight-game points streak (6-7–12) to ignite the season. Meanwhile, Marco Kasper struggles, sitting at minus-4 with no points during the road losses to Buffalo and the New York Islanders. Currently, he stands at minus-6, having registered only one goal this season. The Red Wings’ defensive corps, after a promising start, crumbled, conceding 11 goals in just two road defeats. The defensemen faced significant challenges sorting out their coverages in both matches. Patrick Kane has been sidelined for the last three games due to an undisclosed upper body injury. Although he is back on the ice, he will not take the ice tonight. As the Red Wings return from a disheartening two-game road trip, John Gibson is set to guard the net against the Blues in the first of an exciting Home and Home series. Larkin has now become the eighth active player to achieve at least two season-opening points streaks stretching seven or more games. Furthermore, the Red Wings proudly hold the fourth spot in the NHL with an impressive 90.4% penalty killing efficiency, while their power play has unfortunately slipped to 19th at 90%. LeftWinger 5,177 Report post Posted Saturday at 11:03 PM (edited) Rasmussen, Soda OUT. Wings are going with 11 forwards and 7 D. Hamonic is in because Chiarot is a little banged up, but will play some. Good, I cannot stand Rasmussen. Edited Saturday at 11:04 PM by LeftWinger

If they play like this we'll be looking at draft prospects by mid November. This is just sad 3 games in a row we've looked slow. I feel like I'm watching an ECHL team play NHL teams... they lose or quit or avoid every battle.
LeftWinger 5,177 Report post Posted yesterday at 12:42 AM Well, gonna be an interesting 3rd! Nice goal by Berggren, I know I talked bad of him, but THAT is what he needs to do to stay on this team. He has to play like that ALL the time. He looked bad on their 4th goal, and that is why I said what I said. They just needed some bounces and momentum. Like I said, it's gonna be interesting in the 3rd. Can they keep St. Louis out of the net...gotta keep the ice tilted.
