Does the upcoming realignment change our trade options?

Just thinking about this after reading the J-Bo thread.  Will the move to the East possibly make it more appealing/easier for teams in the West to trade with us?  They won't have to face us a bunch, so there is potentially less harm there.  Not to mention it seems like most of the more recent big name deals (FA or trade) have been a shift from West to East.

Does this play a part in the trade deadline or not?

Leafs' Lupul breaks arm

Appears that Lupul took a blast from Phanuef in front of the net, expected to miss at least 6 weeks. That sucks for a guy who seemingly been injured frequently....days after signing a $25M deal.

Is it me, or are we seeing more "freak" injuries that didn't used to happen as much? Maybe just more guys willing to take risks to make a play?

Per NHL.com the Pens lost Steve Sullivan to the Yotes, citing that he couldn't wait forever to hear the Parise decision.
