Id rather pay a bit of a higher price and get them to eat 25% of the contract. $8.7m is a lot more stomachable then that $11.6m imo. Yzerman should be doing what he can to upgrade this team now. We need to start pushing the chips in while Larkin/DeBrincat are in their prime Seider/Raymond are on discount contracts and Edvinsson/Kasper are on ELCs. Speaking on Edvinsson he should be extended this offseason. $8.5m x 8. Danielson/13th overall/other prospects/picks for any of Pettersson (retained), Peterka, Robertson, Byram, Miller, etc.
