I'd imagine that professional athletes take a great deal of pride in where they are drafted, especially high first rounders. If the Wings didn't take him with their 5-10 pick, he sure as hell isn't going to sit around for the 29-31 pick to come around. I'd also imagine the league would see this as some sort of collusion, otherwise the Wings could just take him with their 7th round pick.

Seasons greetings everyone! Its that time of year again. Everyone's favorite holiday, Leftwinger's Annual Trade Deadline Meltdown Spectacular! That magical time of year where we get to witness the miracle of a grown man lose his mind when his favorite sports team fails to live up to his insane expectations! This year looks to be extra special because Lefty Claus fully believes that Holland will trade no less than 8 roster players. This feels like Christmas, New Years, 4th of July and my birthday all wrapped into one! In order to get everyone in the holiday spirit this year, I thought it might be fun to get some wagers going.
