Ground breaking point you've just made. Do you suppose Clearly wasn't making as much back in 2006 as he is now too? In 2006 Staal made 2.2 million after all of his bonuses. Without all of his bonuses he made 850,000 dollars. How much did Cleary make in 2006? 650,000 dollars before bonuses, and 650,000 dollars after bonuses. So unless you want to quibble about 200,000 dollars (in favor of my point I might add) I would expect you to either admit that Cleary is good value for money, or to level the same criticisms against guys like Staal as you do about Cleary. If you're not willing to do that, then I'd say that you've just got it out for Cleary. And you know what's funny, all this because I said he had one good game. Weak.

Cleary: 116 goals, 133 assists, 397 games played, 2.8 million salary.
Jordan Staal: 114 goals, 111 assists, 409 games played, 4 million dollars salary.

cause the 3rd/4th line grinders are supposed to get the puck deep and cycle and grind in the corners, not give the puck up in the neutral zone 5+ times a game. cleary is guilty of that.

As a fellow shark, and hockey fan, I'd like to bid you a good luck to your next game. All I know is that your streak must end. It will eventually, I do not know if it would be by the sharks, but regardless, I shall take pleasure in it. Regardless of what team, you guys are setting yourselves for a great sigh. A long one.
Anyhow, win or lose, It'll be a hell of a game to watch.

while you may not be as bad as stinky fish taco or whatever his name is, you still are often overly negative for no reason at all. as a person that is always critical of things i like, i certainly have my qualms about the wings (dont get me started on ericsson!) but there is a different between being critical and the often 'troll like' attitude that comes across in your posts. so you shouldn't really be surprised when people attack you.
with that said, the wings are currently getting 1.4 points a game. that would mean in 22 games, they are going to get 31 more points. with your anticipated 14-8, thats 28 points. only 3 off. and assuming a couple of those losses are OT/SO, that would make up the 3 point difference. so in this case, you are not really being unrealistic.

Hi guys so what do you think will be the Wings W-L record in their final 22 games? I have them losing atleast 8 games but not sure how many if any of the 8 they get a point in so lets say they go 14-8 which is ok but not sure if thats good enough to get the top spot as the Canucks have an easier schedule and thus the Wings may need to go on a serious run to fend off the Canucks and this year the top spot in the conference is more important than ever b/c of the home ice factor at the Joe.

Sorry that happened to you. I know many people really appreciated you streaming the games but of course you don't need to deal with legal problems. Good luck with your new little one!

Very proud of this team. They earned it tonight with a strong effort. People can write off the record if they want, but the fact is the Red Wings just made history playing in the toughest division in hockey at a time when there has never been more parity in the league overall. Not to mention, all the wear and tear from travel they have endured since the start of December. The longest home win streak since the lockout was 14, so it's not like teams have even come close to approaching the Red Wings feat recently.
Awesome night -- one of those games you will never forget as a fan. This is special.

And the Blackhawks lost AGAIN.

5th in TOI for forwards with over 16 minutes a game.
Plays on the PK and the PP and isn't afraid to go anywhere on the ice.
6th on the team with 11 goals.
8th on the team with 27 points and is a +12.
He was on pace for about his usual 40 points.
People may be unhappy with his play, but anytime you lose a guy who plays 16 minutes a night in all situations and get you 40 points, it's a significant loss. Hopefully he gets the knee drained and comes back healthy.

cleary is awful this year...not a huge loss.
