Because the Bears have some f###ing class.

THAT IS NOT HOW THE GAME IS PLAYED.

Show some sportsmanship!

I know. I am just saying I wouldn't throw Steve Smith out on the field during punt returns for that reason.

I am not by any means saying that the bears have no class.

No, you didn't, but in sense you did. Saying for them to send some low totem pole guy out there to kill Carolina's player, that's no class. Though that wouldn't happen, for you to even say something like that, that's low class. No reason for comments like that. thumbdown.gif

They could. I don't personally think they will though.

But their Defense is awsome.  wink.gif

1 more TD and the game is over, the Bears have no offense, none. This isn't the 2000 Ravens, they don't have Jamal Lewis and a QB who can actually complete passes.

Seriously, I've seen more people jump on the Bears bandwagon this season than any other team. I don't care about the Superbowl, I just want to see the Bears lose.

Um, yeah dude. I am not on the Bears bandwagon by any means. I don't like them, they played in a weak division and pissed me off. I'd much rather see Carolina advace as they did. thumbup.gif

I hate the Bears and the Colts.

But, yes through out the season their (Beats) defense was awesome. Can't take that away from them.

That being said, did you serisouly think I was saying they would win becuase their defense was like the 2000 Ravens? I said I didn't think they would win the game.

Anyway, I am just glad that the Steelers won. Since the Lions aren't in it, that's my second favorite. So.....Go Steelers.

I must say, I was a bit surprised when I had found out the results in the Denver-Indy game. I thought the Colts were going to win...obviously not.

Now it's:

Denver-Pitsburgh

Seattle-Carolina

I am hoping Seattle takes it. Alexander has had an oustanding year and I think it'd top it off with a Super Bowl victory. With that said...go Seattle!

I think it's going to be Denver-Seattle in the Super Bowl. Should be interesting. Again, let's go Seattle!!!

I was explaining why I would not throw Steve Smith out there to catch punt returns. For fear of somebody doing that.

Interesting to see if Alexander even plays next Sunday.

ahahahahhahahahahah colts !!!

suck it vanderjerk !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahah

the kick heard round the world !!!  laces out !!!

I thought for sure that Vanderjerk was going to cry at the end of the game. I hate to see any team lose a game like that, but for vanderjerk...it works perfectly.

Great game tho. Tons of excitement and suspense.

I love that they flashed the "vanderjagt has never missed a field goal at home during the playoffs" stat right before he attempts the field goal. I knew then the kick would be missed.

The Colts deserved to lose. Pittsburg did their homework and did a fantastic job stopping Manning. What an exciting game. And ya.. I thought Vanderjerk was going to cry.. so thought he was going to. I'm still smiling ear to ear over the colts loss!!! woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooot

Detroits getting screwed.........its gonna be 2 teams that nobody really gives a s**t about.....

I'll be happy if Pittsburgh makes it, they're a pretty awesome group. It's like, "We're on the goal line, and how do we stop this big huge man from plowing through our line into the endzone?" And I guess the answer is that you don't.

But yeah, Denver vs. Carolina vs. Seattle is hella lame.

Yesterday was a great day for the Steeler Nation. We played Steeler football, dominated the #1 team in the league from start to finish, overcame two turnovers AND the WORST CALL IN THE HISTORY OF PROFESSIONAL SPORTS to beat the media and NFL's wet dream team.

I'm very bitter that the score of the game doesn't indicate how well our defense played against Manning. We suffocated the Colts defensively. Save for the NFL trying to cheat the Steelers out of a win by overturning an interception and then the wild finish, this game was what the NFL is all about.

Pittsburgh Style.

Next stop on the Bus trip, Denver.

The best part about this yesterday....

http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/06016/638853.stm

Gold in a sea of blue

Despite the Colts' best efforts to keep tickets out of the hands of Steelers fans, thousands were scattered around the RCA Dome waving their Terrible Towels. They also made themselves heard, even though outnumbered, as the Steelers took an early lead.

"Here we go, Steelers, here we go," resounded off the Teflon-coated dome ceiling. Ironically, they may even have caused a false start penalty by the home team when the Colts lined up for a two-point conversion.

"I heard them. I was talking to them," cornerback Ike Taylor said. "Man, those Steelers fans are everywhere. I don't know where they're coming from, but they're everywhere."

Ben Roethlisberger also noted the fans in explaining why the Steelers, who are 8-2 away from Heinz Field, play so well on the road:

"Everybody's against you and all we have is us and that's what makes this team so strong. We've done a great job of that all year. We could hear our fans out there. They're awesome."

On a sad note, sucks to see my friend and ex basketball teammate DeShaun Foster go down with a broken ankle. I was pulling for him to get his shot as a starter. I dont think he can come back from that by Feb 5 if they win at Seattle. Really a shame for a good guy.

The Pits-Den game should be very interesting.

I don't care for Pittsburgh much(never have) so I'm hoping Denver can take it to 'em. It's going to be tough though stopping Bettis. Should be a very interesting game!

Go Denver and go Seattle!

That was a terrible call. I don't know if it's the worst call in the history of professional sports, but it was a terrible call.

AND the WORST CALL IN THE HISTORY OF PROFESSIONAL SPORTS

That is a very bold statement. I can think of nearly a handful off the top of my head that were worse. Most of those calls are where the team that should have won lose becuase of that call, Pitts didn't lose, they won...

No, but we damn near did lose courtesy of that call and it allowing the Colts to make a game of what was otherwise a dismantling of the vaunted Colts offense.

I stand by my statement. I have not seen a worse call in a game in my life. Polamalu rolled on the ground with his hands on the ball, both his knees were down and then when he stands up he knocks the ball out with his knee. Just another example of the league trying to push forward its favorite step-child at the moment.

Worst call before this one was the phantom foul on Scottie Pippen v the Knicks in the 05' NBA playoffs that gave the Knicks 3 free throws and the game.

I dont want to see any of the media whores trying to jump aboard our black and gold Bus as we head into Denver for a chance to go to Super Bowl XL, a most fitting title in the hometown of our FAT BACK.

I'd be very concerned if my team's QB was named Jake The Fake going into Sunday.

Bettis is actually our closer. The tougher task is stopping Fast Willie, 4.23 40 speed. But the true keys to our game is always tough defense and now with a real QB at the helm, the play of Ben Roethlisberger. This guy is a legend in the making in his 2nd season. I have to give props to our special teams. They have been great for us during our current win streak.

If we pull out the next 2 he'll be spoken of for generations, much like Franco Harris has been with The Immaculate Reception, we now have The Tackle.

The greatest non-call was the push-off Jordan did in the playoffs against I forgot which team.

You know for a fact that they are going to jump on the bandwaggon.

That was a blatant push off. I asked B-Russ about that one and he did say he got pushed pretty good. I'll give you that one. I coached with Bryon for two summers. Good guy.

We all know Jordan had his own set of rules though. There is even a book on it

The Colts sure as hell didnt deserve to win the game. They got mauled by a better team. The Colts didnt deserve to lose by 3. It should have been a much wider spread. Thank the refs for making it close.
