ryanjay00 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2006 Eklund has the Wings being most interested in Darcy Tucker, among others (LeClair, Luongo, Roloson, and the injured Bryan Berard). I know it's Eklund...but any thoughts on Tucker?
haroldsnepsts 4,826 Report post Posted March 6, 2006 Thoughts on Tucker. He dives, is a cheapshot artist and a poor skater. No thanks.

Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted March 6, 2006 Tucker has decent numbers because Toronto is pathetic, has no depth on wing, so he gets first line PP duty. The number of gimmes I've watched him score on 5-on-3s is astounding.
Mule39 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2006 I don't see Toronto trading him.
StaticWithABeat 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2006 I'm sure Toronto will be selling off players in the next few days, but I doubt Tucker will be among them. He's been one of the few players earning his keep around there.
Neil#25 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2006 Now this is guy Detroit could use, especially against gritty teams. He hits like a truck, gritty as hell, fights, scores and agitates the f*ck out of guys. A lot of you guys say you don't want someone who is just there to fight, well here is a guy who scores and fights when he needs to and yet some still say no. I still say no because he's a cheapshot artist. I just don't want a guy like that wearing the Winged Wheel. Let him stay in Toronto.

Detroit has no need for a guy like Tucker. We don't need to start s**t, if anything we need a guy that'll keep other teams from starting s**t. While Tucker will go with anyone he's not what I'd call a policeman. Are there no big, skilled, calm, tough guys out there? Guys that go about their game, skate, hit, score, but don't get caught up in the extracurriculars until it is needed. Not some clown that flies around boarding, charging, diving, yapping until some guy latches on and beats him silly. peace
CupCrazy22 6 Report post Posted March 7, 2006 If he were to come cheap, I would say yes! I wouldn't mind having Tucker.
BeeRYCE 2 Report post Posted March 7, 2006 I hate him now, but I also hated Chelios before he landed in Detroit. I don't want to have to like him, so I'll pass.
