toby91_ca 620 Report post Posted February 7, 2007 So, I understand these guys are identical twins, but their statistical similarities are quite astounding. This year, Daniel has 55 points, Henrik has 53 points. Last year Daniel had 71 points, Henrik had 75 points. In their careers, Deniel has played 450 games and has 277 points, Henrik has played 454 games and has 274 points. I suppose you could say that they should have similar totals since they play on the same line (not sure if it as been that way their whole career, but it probably has), however, it doesn't really work that way. Aussie_Wing 354 Report post Posted February 7, 2007 I know they used to cop a ton of criticism, the reason why I’m not sure. I haven’t seen them play a great deal so I can’t really comment, but judging by their statistics they seemed to be much improved players.
betterREDthandead 58 Report post Posted February 7, 2007 The Sedins have definitely become the 1-2 punch the Canucks expected when they drafted them. Henrik doesn't even have 10 goals this season but he's an absolute assist machine.
puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted February 7, 2007 (edited) I wouldn't deny that they can play hockey, they're just kind of...creepy. I am delighted, as a female hockey fan, that the Higher Power of your choice chose to make two of Henrik Ludqvist (twin brother Joel is a soccer star) and Teemu Selanne (identical twin Paavu plays hockey in Finland). Chris and Peter Ferraro, twin offspring of Chicken Parm Ray Ferraro, are not bad to look at,either. The Sedins... well... How shallow am I?? wingslogo19 281 Report post Posted February 7, 2007 I get to see the Sedin twins play almost every other night since i live in BC, there always on tv.. They are great hockey players and cycle the puck very well, and just know where eatchother are at all times.. Another thing is it seems like who ever is on that line with them they will score goals because the sedins will pass you the puck, for example when carter played with him last year he had over 30 goals, and now taylor pyatt already has 16 goals and that's a career high for him

eva unit zero 271 Report post Posted February 7, 2007 same line (not sure if it as been that way their whole career, but it probably has), Playing on the same line was a demand they made if they were to leave Sweden (where they played together on Modo). Brian Burke was the only GM nuts enough to make the seven deals needed to get the picks to draft them, although he could likely have picked up the 9th and 10th overall picks (or lower) and used them on the Sedins with that kind of demand hanging out there. I think you have your twins mixed up or something, because Henrik's brother Joel Lundqvist is actually a hockey pro with the Dallas Stars organization. He's appeared in 12 NHL games this season, scoring 2 goals and 4 points. He's a very skilled defensive player that projects to be a third liner in the future.
