KronwallCRUNCH 5 Report post Posted March 7, 2007 Great playoff-like atmosphere (almost) tonight...the crowd was definitely lively. Schedule makers take note- respectable teams coming to town = fan interest.
Matt 1,049 Report post Posted March 7, 2007 Just got home from the game -- it was great. Loud and rowdy. I do have a beef with the Road Commission, however -- since it didn't look like they salted *anything* on I-75 and it took 90 minutes to get home for a trip that normally takes 20. HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted March 7, 2007 I just got back from the game about 20 minutes ago. It was a freaking BLAST!! It definitely felt like the playoffs. Perfect game to be at!! I was screaming my lungs out the entire time. Amazing!! The atmosphere was perfect tonight. It's how it ALWAYS should be. I agree with Matt about the roads. We didn't get home till 12!! Of course mainly due to the snow/ice. There were so many accidents. Really scary.

YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted March 7, 2007 You know what annoys the hell outta me?? You can never tell on FSN how loud the crowd is. People can be screaming their heads off and it only seems like mild excitement, then people come around saying the Joe is dead. Sometimes, yes, but the two games Ive been to so far this season - one against Edmonton and one against Chicago - have been pretty exciting.
WhiteLightning91 105 Report post Posted March 7, 2007 Hmm...I must've been at a different game because my section almost fell asleep there in the 2nd period before Lang scored. In OT though, it did get louder (mostly because everyone was pissed as hell at Lang for almost blowing it) and it definitely got louder in the shootout. HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted March 7, 2007 You must have nearly crapped yourself cheering when Osgood made that last save. Honestly? I got teary eyed. That's how huge it was to me. Seeing it all come down to Ozzie and him making that great save was just the best feeling. The fan chanting his name non stop was amazing! He must feel GREAT. You know what annoys the hell outta me?? You can never tell on FSN how loud the crowd is. People can be screaming their heads off and it only seems like mild excitement, then people come around saying the Joe is dead. Sometimes, yes, but the two games Ive been to so far this season - one against Edmonton and one against Chicago - have been pretty exciting. You're exactly right. Most of the games I go are loud as hell, where you can't even talk because it's so rowdy and then when I get home and watch it on tape you can't hear a damn thing. FSN makes us look like crap! HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted March 7, 2007 Glad you got home safe! The roads were terrible tonight! Thanks hun! Same to you. The roads were awful! On the freeway I saw about four accidents. It was so scary and sad to see. It's just amazing how before the game started it felt nice outside and there was nothing on the ground and then next thing you know..the roads are dangerous as heck. March and snow. That's Michigan for ya!

Xduff83X 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2007 man. the one game i miss all season seemed to be the craziest i too was at the game! sec 124 and let me tell you it was the best wings game iv been to. it was a make up for sunday. i had selmanela poisioning and my g/f got me tickets to the avs game for sunday, for v day. i tried to tough it out. we got there from chesterfield and literaly stayed for the national anthum and opening face off and i couldnt handle it, i had to go to the hospital. so a few days later i feel better and i had a chance to get these tickets from a friend. i jumped at it. paid about half price for four tickets. glad i did. Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted March 7, 2007 (edited) I taped the game last night, so I'll be watching it when I get home later. Good to here that it was a great atmosphere. I have to also back up what YoungGuns said about FSN making it seem quieter than it really it. When I watched the game on Sunday vs. Colorado, the game seemed pretty lively on NBC. Whenever I see games on FSN though, it always seems quieter. They must turn the microphones down or something. Edited March 7, 2007 by Kp-Wings

WingsFANstuckintheSOUTH 10 Report post Posted March 7, 2007 I was at the game as well...it was loud but i wasnt overly impressed. I go to about 15 Hurricanes games a year and there weakest croud was still better then the one last night...i think that has more so to do with the fans knowledge of the game down there compared to the ones up in Detroit. Either way it was a great game. Driving home in a mustang 20 miles and having your cousin say OH by the way the windsheild wipers dont work is a different story
