TheLegend19 1 Report post Posted March 18, 2007 how many do you have now that there is a salary cap and you didnt just buy your team, you NY Yankees of the NHL? As many as you do. Next question?
Chairman Maouth 97 Report post Posted March 18, 2007 The injuries we have on our team would be the equivlent of naslund and henrik sedin out ( z an Bert) franzen kopecky= morrsion and linden Bertuzzi??? Counting him is like counting a ghost. He's never even played for you and he's played like crap since 2004. After he returns, you may wish he'd go away again. savaking72 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2007 After this loss Hasek's goal against average will fall below Brodeur's. I hate to come down on him...after all he did play a pretty good game, but it wasn't quit good enough. We need a brick wall. When our team plays like this Hasek needs to step up. Way to many penelties in this game. the refs have been pretty whistle happy the last few games (with the exception of the last Nashville game).
Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted March 18, 2007 you prolly live in vancouver i should come beat the hell outta yah Oooooh, scary! Game tonight was pretty lame. Waaay too many penalties, including one of the most blatant too many men calls I've ever seen. It wasn't like someone got caught at the bench, there were six men RIGHT IN THE PLAY. There were chances to pop pucks into empty nets and it just wouldn't go. Bad omen. Moooving right along to da Flames...
CrazyCanuck 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2007 You do some research genius. We're missing alot of our guys right now, so it's not just "a top goal scorer" Wow. You're missing two defensemen, BFD. Look at our injuries and then try telling me that Vancouver has more injuries than Detroit right now. I didn't say Vancouver had MORE injuries. I just hate when people use injuries as an excuse. Bertuzzi doesn't even count. He hasn't even played a game yet, so you don't even know what he brings to the table, if anything at all. You shouldnt have to rely on Zetterberg for offence and use his injury as an excuse for losing, because adversity is what will get you through the playoffs. Find a way to win no matter what. Now Buffalo last year in the playoffs.....THAT situation was caused by injuries. They can definitely use that as an excuse.
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted March 18, 2007 Thanks for being about the only classy person on here tonight. I just see stupid s*** posted by other people so I respond and then i get attacked by like 10 people asking me about Stanley Cups like I give a s*** lol. I respect the Wings, I just don't like them very much, and I am not goin to deny that they are an awesome team. But when people post s*** like "Yay Salo is hurt at least something good happened tonight" then I am gonna get pissy. Hey, we're not supposed to like each other...that's perfectly natural. But I can definitely respect what your guys have done this season, especially with a goaltender that might actually be able to get you deep in the playoffs for a change. Should be interesting to see what Roberto can do. Mind you, I'll be rooting against them the entire way.
HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted March 18, 2007 Everyone calm down. No need in debating over who's more injured and what not. Nucks played better and they deserved to win. End of story. Game over.

BlueMonk 102 Report post Posted March 18, 2007 After this loss Hasek's goal against average will fall below Brodeur's. No, it won't. Brodeur was lit up today by the Hurricanes. 4 goals on 12 shots! He got yanked.

edicius 3,269 Report post Posted March 18, 2007 Very kind of you to say. Thank you. I don't think the refs cost the Wings the game, but I also don't think the Wings played their best. But then again, Vancouver does seem to force that upon them quite a bit so who knows. But good game. I won't dispute that I thought a lot of the early penalties on the Wings were questionable (hey, I can be a homer sometimes, right?), but as the game went on, the penalties we took were just pure laziness and not paying attention to what the hell we're doing. The stunningly obvious too-many-men penalty and Cheli's delay of game were evidence of that.

Hey, I didn't think our guys would be knocking on the door at the top of the league either, so I'm also pleasantly surprised. I honestly thought that Luongo would suffer on a Western Conference team and be exposed as a servicable, but average tender (a la Khabibulin)...but damn it if he didn't prove me REALLY wrong this season. If anything, I noticed a lack of drive by the Wings tonight, but like I said, I've noticed that they often have trouble with Vancouver. Whether that's the Canucks just having the Wings number, or the Wings being uninspired, or a combination of both, I'm not sure. I would think that they'd take a team that consistently beats them a little more seriously though. I'm not flaming the Wings; I love the Wings, I'm just thinking out loud. edicius 3,269 Report post Posted March 18, 2007 Wow, atleast something good came from today. Thanks, I needed that! I was watching that Jersey/Carolina game...the Canes were just getting some fantastic deflections in on Brodeur. He just didn't have a chance out there. By the time Clemmensen came in, the damage was already too far gone. To give you an idea, by the time the Devils were down 4-0, they had only recorded 6 shots on John Grahame. SIX. And that was halfway through the game.
Chairman Maouth 97 Report post Posted March 18, 2007 salo got hurt What's your point. I still think the canucks won't do well in the playoffs! Sedins will disapear forsure, naslund well we all know what he has done. Let me be the first to say it i see Luoungo getting scored on from center ice! Canucks have no grit whatsoever the sedins look like aliens Troll alert. I think a Homer can be a troll -- can't he?

I think it's partly that, plus the fact that we've been poor on the road this season, not to mention horrendous on western road trips. Doesn't bode well for us when the postseason comes around, that's for sure.

Plus Colorado is breathing down their necks.
