Guest Agalloch Report post Posted March 31, 2007 This s*** wouldn't happen if we had a capable center on our second line. We have one scoring line now, with the third and fourth pitching in every now and then. Lang brings down the entire second line. Christ, the guy is the laziest f***** ever. I seriously can't believe someone can singlehandedly bring down an entire line, but he is the center after all. Think of how dominant we'll be next year when we have a capable center on the second line. Damn, that's gonna be nice. Any ideas on who we should target in FA for a second line center? With Maltby, Lang, and possibly Schneider's contracts coming off, we should be able to get someone nice, even if we do resign Datsyuk. BTW, the loss is no big deal. We got one point, and just need to win out against two of the s***tiest teams in the league. We control our own destiny. I kinda hope we finish fourth anyway though. I'm much more concerned with having Lazy and Sucks centering our second line.
Guest Crymson Report post Posted March 31, 2007 i like it better when you're not posting. SNAP! I must say I'm not terribly fond of you either. Let's fight over the internet. I'll start: I drop the gloves and throw a right haymaker. Your move. This s*** wouldn't happen if we had a capable center on our second line. He can't handle fast pucks, can't get off quick shots, etc. I have started to wonder whether he has developed a genuine medical problem or some such.
Guest Agalloch Report post Posted March 31, 2007 Forgot to add something... losing this game might be good. Get them to wake up a little bit more, and realize that they have to play sixty minutes to win. Not twenty, not forty, not fifty-nine. Sixty. They should've realized this by now, but meh. Just think of 2002. The Wings sucked balls at the end of the season, and ending up winning the Cup.

Airborn 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2007 I know we're trying to look on the bright side of things, so here goes.... Somebody other than Dasksuk scored tonight . Also, both Maltby and Draper scored . I'm about 90% sure somebody played a practical joke and told them the playoffs started today.
puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted March 31, 2007 (edited) Yeah, he was playing amazing up to that point, and I never said he wasn't. It's fine that it's your defense mechanism, but I've seen that debate over and over again, and refuse to get involved in it. Both goalies are playing great, and that's great news for the Wings and bad news for whoever goes against them. Just don't be so fast to jump to that next time, all I ask. tazz, it's not you, really. The fact is, you can't even make a slightly biased remark about either goalie without unleashing ridiculous bashing. Even innocent remarks which can be taken more than one way by certain people are fair game. Yes, Dom and Ozzie both played great. The difference is, Hasek "lost" and Ozzie won. There are posters who will bash Hasek because of that -- heck, they bash him when he wins, because he doesn't win big enough, half the time. Somehow, his wins are always easy? So, Viperar was trying to stave off the inevitable, that's all. We know you didn't mean anything. Edited March 31, 2007 by puckloo39

WingsWingsWings 3 Report post Posted March 31, 2007 At least Bert has a goal with the Wings now. and one point is better than none, although it kinda sucks that the Wings lost after having a 3-0 lead. I agree, that I hope they are getting all the kinks out before the playoffs.
Airborn 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2007 This s*** wouldn't happen if we had a capable center on our second line. Lang has 1 point in his last 7 games! Even though he's a rookie, I feel like Filppula's the better option at this point. I'm hoping Babcok comes to this realization sooner rather than later. Lazerbeam 13 Report post Posted March 31, 2007 NEWSFLASH!! NEWSFLASH!!! Announcement from Major League Baseball!!! The Commish of MLB has announced that since baseball games take so long to play and the ware and tear on the pitchers to be so great, that MLB has decided if a game is tied after 9 innings of play, they will play 1 additional inning, if the game is still tied after the 10th inning, they will decide the winner by means of the HOME RUN DERBY! Commish Selig said that a recent survey of Soccer Moms showed they prefer Home Run Derby's to decide games than actually playing the game itself!!

I'm hoping Babcok comes to this realization sooner rather than later. definitely, i'd take filppula over lang any time. what he concedes in size to lang he more than makes up for in work ethic. and let's face it, lang used to be a scorer... used to be... bottom line is that he isn't getting it done this year, not by a long shot. Looked like the opposite, to me. No excuses, it was a waste of some great individual efforts, the team did not stay focused and did not play the entire 60 minutes. They will have to in the playoffs, so why not get in the habit now?
datsyukismyfriend 4 Report post Posted March 31, 2007 Who cares about the shootout. If we were 2 years ago...guess what, we'd still have one point. yeah, but a team shouldn't get two points for an so win. it's just completely arbitrary. it has nothing to do with the game (a team sport). although i'd probably like them a bit more if the wings could steal a few. as it is the so pretty much spells certain death for the winged wheel. zetterbergfuturemvp 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2007 (edited) were suppose to be a defensive team now ?? and we can't even hold on to a 3-0 3rd period lead lol .......what a pathetic game , i dont know about you guys but im beyond pissed ........if hasek didnt lie flat on his back again on a weak weak shot on the first goal , the match would of ended differently .....as soon as they scored to make it 3-1 we sat back instead of attacking , which is just dumb i dont get why teams do that , they get burned most of the times they do that Edited March 31, 2007 by zetterbergfuturemvp

Well, a lot of things in hockey are determined by an individual. Like penalties...and penalty shots, and stupid mistakes. 1 persons mistake can result in a loss for the whole team. It's just an aspect of the game, like any other. In any case, it does add a lot of excitement to the games, something the NHL could use to draw more fans, even though us who are already fans want to cross our arms and say we don't need anyone else...ha ha. It would be nice if we could win one though. We are going through quite the dry spell. Ah well. But we still get the point, which would have been the same as the old days that end in a tie...or (the one I hate the most) if we'd have lost in OT. You shouldn't get a point for losing in OT...
