Ozzie has had a great year

Osgood has been fine this year, but you can't really justify calling it "a great year". He's hardly played, and most of his games have been against weak teams. A few great games does not a great year make.

Zetter, took the words out of my mouth.:)

ozzie has been alright this year , but to say he's had a "great" year , thats just ridiculous , hes only played in 21 games and 13 of the 21 games he was in , the teams are out of the playoffs , osgood has played alright ....but great ? i think not

So because he played against teams that didn't make the playoffs, we can't count them as serious opponents ?

By that standard, Dom has played only 30 real games of his 56 games, because in 26 games he faced non-playoff teams ?

Are you kidding me or what ???

am i kidding you or what LOL ........ya so if osgood just played 16 games this year against chicago and columbus and wins 12 games then we'd say he had a great year as well right ?? lol YES the fact is the opponents you play do matter ,how can it not ?? and yes im aware of hasek playing against weak team's but he did play against alot more of the best teams in the league then ozzie did ........and plus he's the dominator so im less worried about him then i would be with ozzie

It just freaks me out how some folks go out of their way to find reasons to not trust and support Dom and Ozzie, when they've both been great this season. They are ours and we ought to be on their side, not Brodeur's. Not right now for sure, we have a Cup to win!

Your totally right.

As long as they play for our Red Wings we should ALL back them 100%.

Let's give Osgood some love here.

It's been a shame he's been injured more often than not this season, but in spite of that, when he's been able to get in, he's done very well.

You just got to admire a guy like him right now. In my opinion, I think he could be starting on a lot of teams right now and is still very capable of being a decent starter. A lot of guys want to constantly play and dgo for the big bucks. That's not alwys a bad thing obviously, but I think Osgood has made a lot of sacrafices the past two seasons, being in a place he wants to work/make a living in, as opposed to having a good shot at making more money somewhere else.

Cheers to Ozzie! :beerbuddy:

Ridiculous? He only played in a number of clutch games against Nashville, and when you don't play that much it is much harder then it looks to do. Look this topic isn't saying Ozzie is better then Hasek, or Ozzie should be a starter. It's just stating how he dealt with this year, and his strong play deserves some props.
