HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted April 10, 2007 On my way back from class I was listening to WDFN and they said Bert didn't practice today because he's awaiting his base line test results, but that he would most likely play Thursday. Today is my birthday and this is the thread I have to read!! ghah!! This thread has been interesting. Happy Birthday! ??? Where are you people getting your news from? It was said today on 1270 wxyt that he didn't practice today but is still expected to play on thursday, so i have no idea where this person got this false informatin from or when this story was writtien but the wings training staff has said that he is still expected to go. Yep. I heard the same thing on 1130 WDFN.

Happy Birthday! Most likely is always a good sign , Its like saying 75% chance. I'd take that 75% chance over the 25% chance he doesnt play.

motorcitykid 42 Report post Posted April 10, 2007 Calm. Down. Hank is due back Thursday as far as it stands today. If Bertuzzi takes a few games to get straight, so be it. There's a reason we got all these points this season -> depth. If it's Dom who's out then yeh, we might have good reason to start worrying. But if we can't put together a couple of strong outings without Bertuzzi, then what team were we watching this season? I think we've handle adversity pretty damn well so far this year. TEX-WING 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2007 Untill they drop the puck thursday all the "injury update reports" should be filed under the fiction. So far the pick-ups are looking pretty good, Calders been playing great and Bert was looking better each game, but I can't remember when was the last time a trade deadline pick-up actually worked out for the Wings? Rice 42 Report post Posted April 10, 2007 maybe this is all a mind game with calgary? It very well could be. The Wings with Bertuzzi and the Wings without Bertuzzi call for different game plans.
HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted April 10, 2007 It very well could be. The Wings with Bertuzzi and the Wings without Bertuzzi call for different game plans. That's exactly what I was thinking. Flames are making their plans right now, looking through tapes on the Wings and such and are thinking to themselves..okay, Bert isn't going to be in the line up so we don't got to cover him right now. And then BAM! Bert is a last minute decision and the Flames never saw it coming!

If you mean worked out with a cup then it was 98 with Macoun. he worked out very nicely. The Schneider deal has worked out well even though they haven't won the cup. As for the injuries I would rather see Bert sit out a game and not risk it. But looks like Hank will be playing. http://www.mlive.com/redwings/weblog/index..._04.html#247829 I would rather see Hudler on the line with Lang and Calder because I think it would be better for Hudler. But Samuelson will work up on that line too.
