HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted April 11, 2007 I hate 'day to day' that is the WORST. It's always the day to day crap that seems like forever until someone injured comes back.
arin 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2007 WOW Can't we just use one of the other 12 "Is Bertuzzi playing" threads?

StevieY9802 6 Report post Posted April 11, 2007 Better than rushing it. It could get worse if you do that. I think they can deal a game without him. Could be worse news I suppose.
Zeta Power 40 1 Report post Posted April 11, 2007 bummer, well Zeta is back!
Rice 42 Report post Posted April 11, 2007 Damnit. Well at least the Wings are prepared. They won without Bertuzzi for most of the year and Zetterberg is back. This just means someone is going to have to step up.
Matt 1,049 Report post Posted April 11, 2007 WOW Can't we just use one of the other 12 "Is Bertuzzi playing" threads? Since this is the first concrete declaration of Bertuzzi's status, no. I'd like to think I've got a good handle on when stories developing over the course of several days hit a "benchmark" moment where it would be in the best interest of everyone if they didn't have to sift through 12 pages of speculation to find exactly what they were looking for. Hence the new, pinned thread.
Guest GodofHockeyStevieY19 Report post Posted April 11, 2007 Im cool with it. As long he is 100% and ready to go by saturday. Thats all that matters. Cause he very well could probably play tomorrow, but im sure they dont want him tweaking anything again. Better to be safe then sorry. Especially during the playoffs. And with our depth, we will be just fine for one game without him.

ShanahanMan 473 Report post Posted April 11, 2007 Well, there was always a chance that this was gonna happen. As long as he's back by Sunday, it'll be cool.

Guest GodofHockeyStevieY19 Report post Posted April 11, 2007 we play sunday, and im not just saying that to poiint out you saying saturday, but it gives bert that extra day of rest Oh thats right my bad. Well even better. Gives big Bert an extra day to get to 100%. Im so frickin pumped. Im getting a 12 pack and ignoring the gf all night while I enjoy some sweet sweet playoff hockey. Then tomorrow I'll wake up and be way more pumped than I am today. I actually expect some butterflies tomorrow. I cant wait.
redwingfan19 293 Report post Posted April 11, 2007 Maybe he will play. Maybe the Wings are just playing mind games. If it's day to day then tommorow is another day and he may still play. It could be a game time decision, maybe he will wake up tommrow and feel great. Lets be optimistic.
ShanahanMan 473 Report post Posted April 11, 2007 (edited) you know what, Bruce MacLeod has jumped the gun a bit on other Detroit injuries before. I still think theres a small chance he could be ready tomorrow. For a "day-day" injury, you can't really confirm that someone isn't gonna play until gametime or right before....especially for a playoff game. Just gotta my cross fingers, toes....and all other appendages that can cross. Edited April 11, 2007 by ShanahanMan
NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted April 11, 2007 Oh well, it would've been nice, but its not the end of the world. No need for me to bust out the panic button. Look on the bright side: It's SAMMY-TIME!
Rice 42 Report post Posted April 11, 2007 Yeah, like who? I don't think the Wings have anyone who can fill Bert's shoes!!! I am so bummed From a physical aspect, I'm hoping Franzen brings it on the forecheck. Scoring wise, there are a few guys on the team who I think have the potential to surprise.
