I shudder to think what happens if we dont pick up our special teams in this series. I have seen this before, the flames now feel they have a shot and will come out next game even more fired up. If we cant put a goal in from stupid penalties taken by the flames early, Im afraid its golf early again for this team. On the bright side: if the Wings have managed to win so many games without too much success on the PP, then the Wings can win games in the playoffs as well. That's what it's there for. Secondly, the fact that one would go out of his way to make a semi-panic thread stating that the Wings could be golfing early again after ONE freaking loss is something I think one would consider deleting. The game would have had a different complexion had we gone up early on the 4 min power play we had. As for putting it in the game day thread, I think I can put a topic out there if I want to. Redmond has said it before, You have to have the powerplay working or its not going to be a good series. We couldn't even control the puck in there zone on the powerplay. Our PP this year just sucked after being 1st last year and was only mitigated by the fact that we were the best 5 on 5. And lets look at that 4 min PP - forget for a minute the fact that we didnt score - FOR 4 FREAKING MINUTES WE DIDNT GET A SOG! AND CGY DID GET A SHOT! We also had 3 or 4 offside calls during that time. Its like these guys hadn't played on a PP b4! I'm not going to say (at this point) its going to be our demise, but if we cant take adavntage of these opportunities combined with the fact that GroinBoy has the potential to give up at least one softie a game, then every game is gonna be up for grabs no matter how well we may outplay the other.......
