LionsAndRedwingsAndPistonsOhMy 3 Report post Posted May 9, 2007 Good. The underdog role has suited us well! I still have a hard time thinking of us as the underdog, being the 1 seed and all, but oh well.
Wing Nut 0 Report post Posted May 9, 2007 At the begining of the season the experts didn't even mention the Red Wings to do anything. That's why we play the games.

BeeRYCE 2 Report post Posted May 9, 2007 Whatever. We beat the San Jose Sharks who were the hottest team going into the playoffs, and the Western Conference favourite. People don't know jack.
BringHomeTheCup! 0 Report post Posted May 9, 2007 I would have to say on paper, we are the least likely to win the Cup, but as Mick likes to say, 'That's why we play the games!'

WingsWingsWings 3 Report post Posted May 9, 2007 Sharks in seven. Oh, wait -- we used that one last round. Seriously, the way the Wings have played in the past three games makes believers of us. Detroit in seven. I like the way he wrote his prediction!!!

yzerman&thewings=CUP 0 Report post Posted May 9, 2007 Come on guys, you all know Barry Melrose is the most talented NHL analyst ever , his prediction is the one that matters! He picked up the ducks, oh no! We're doomed!
Zion 93 Report post Posted May 9, 2007 I agree with the Ducks fan who said that the longer the series goes, the more it favors the Ducks. They're a bruising team that has had an easy ride to the WCF and Detroit is a much-less bruising team that has had easily the toughest ride to the CF of any of the final four. While the Ducks COULD win in 4 or 5 games, they most likely would win in 6 or maybe 7. The Wings, if they win, would most likely do it quickly, which makes games 1 & 2 THE pivotal games of the series. A split in Anaheim would suffice ONLY if games 1 & 2 are won.
