Lilja seem's to be quite a down to earth guy. I liked it when he was asked which three players he would build a team around and he said. Lids , Drapes , Zetts AND Cleary AND Pavel. LMAO.

God, I NEVER thought I'd say that! Great interview. I like how he said he's the more "stay at home" defenseman, and whoever he's on a line with, they have the green light to jump into the play. No confusion that way.

It was him saying "I can't skate with the puck well" basically, but he delivered it with such matter-of-factness, you have to appreciate his knowing his limitations. This guy has won me over, and to think he was one of our whipping boys and in-jokes earlier this season? Now he's got all the LGW fan club love.
