I know lots of people were saying he wasn't worth signing again, but you got love those timely goals. And the setup of Lids for the game tying goal.. .LOVE IT!!! edicius 3,269 Report post Posted May 14, 2007 In all seriousness, I'm pretty sure that the GDT is the one place where we all disregard mostly all of the forum rules, and post in all caps and curse words due to the excitement of the game...BUT we are really good with obeying them when it isn't the GDT And believe me, I thank Matt for tolerating us with that. My typed reaction to an Anaheim goal is no different than my verbal reaction. The S-bomb is the first word out of my mouth. I'm an angel everywhere else on the board, though. Not necessarily in a "all the calls are going against us" type of way, (although I could see that argument) but they've been calling the bulls*** "New NHL" calls, and they've let at least 3 hits from behind go. I've come to accept that the tiny calls are going to be there every game, but why not call the penalties that are there to actually protect the players safety? We have a nickname for Don Van Massenhoven for that same reason because of a game against Vancouver in '02, although his was a more active role. Kicked the damn puck to a Vancouver player who scored. The opening shift of Datsyuk he goes to the net and Niedermeyer completely obstructs him for like 5 secs. Where is the F*&^^%^^$#@ Call??? Did anyone notice at the 4.50 mark of the 2nd period R. Niedermeyer attempt to trip and then kick one of our players? I think it was Datsyuk he kicked but am not sure. I didn't notice this in real time but they were showing a replay and I noticed it then. Sorry if this was already discussed. Bertuzzi gets called for a cross check when Niedermeyer hacked Datsyuk 4 times in a row in game #1 and no call. I love their 2 Norris candidates : trip, tackle and cross check. what talents, if Lidstrom doesn't win the Norris it'll be a crying shame. He's just showing his class right now.
