Regarding the Wings looking back to 2002 in repeating a 3-2 comeback against the Avalanche, only 7 players from the Wings current roster (Draper, Maltby, Lidstrom, Chelios, Hasek, Holmstrom, and Datsyuk) were around back in 2002 for the Wings. Red Wings have had a PHENOMENAL SEASON!!!!! There is NOTHING to be ashamed of!!! We weren't even supposed to make the playoffs this year!!! Folks, this is all gravy to me... what a great season! I just thought about taking a few hours' nap before the game (it's 0.30 a.m. now) but screw it, I seriously doubt my ability to fall asleep before a game of this magnitude. I'm not even tired at all so I might as well stay here for the countdown. I think I can handle tomorrow after a couple of hours' sleep, especially if we manage to pull off the win. Go Wings Go! This team has been a pure joy to watch this season, and while losing sucks, nothing can take away what the Red Wings did to overcome the odds. They played with heart, determination, and perseverance. I can honestly say if they lose tonight, I know at least they gave their best effort and it just wasn't meant to be. That's all us fans can ask for and the Red Wings have given us every bit of that and a lot more. Win or lose tonight, thank you Red Wings for an amazing season.
