Isn't the score a site, or did you see this on TV or hear it on the radio? I don't see this posted anywhere else. It'd be a good pick up though.

Flip-check 6 Report post Posted July 4, 2007 the day the red wings have a young healthy goalie for a long time and hes good will be a day of praise. Jimmy Howard had best be the real deal. I half-expect that we'll just trash him and then trade for someone new... but who knows? Maybe he's set to step up next year. I'd instantly become a Jimmy fan if this American kid's got what it takes.
HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted July 4, 2007 It be pinned at th' top o' th' general discussion... We signed Ferrance 'n a slug turd cast off goal tender! We already signed Brad Ference. Now it's about the other Ference, Andrew. lol
Lou_Siffer 1 Report post Posted July 4, 2007 As an impartial person who has no feelings towards Hasek or Osgood, the delay with Hasek re-signing is clearly a money issue. Its obvious the Wings want him back, so that is the only possible stumbling block!

puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted July 4, 2007 Yeah for our backup maybe. lol that would be fine. Ozzie can handle #1 duties, we don't need Dom. Raycroft will make more as a backup than Ozzie makes or Dom would have, but OK... wait... not OK. That it be! I didn' even catch th' name... th' OP said andrew... he sure it ain't Brad? http://www.letsgowings.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=44365 which one did we actually get? Raycroft will make more as a backup than Ozzie makes or Dom would have, but OK... wait... not OK. No no. I think you misunderstood what I was saying. I meant WITH Hasek as our starter. I would never want Ozzie to start. I was making a joke. As in saying yeah sure sign him, only if he's gonna be our backup. I would put Raycroft ahead of Osgood any day of the week. sixer 37 Report post Posted July 4, 2007 I would put Raycroft ahead of Osgood any day of the week. Agreed!!! With a team like Detroit in front of Raycroft, I have no concerns. Poor Raycroft had the Leafs in front of him, lol.

I would worry more about the rest of the team than I would Ozzie. If Hasek were signing for under 2 million, it would have already happened by now. I tend to agree... but don't have any facts to back that up.
Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted July 4, 2007 Agreed!!! With a team like Detroit in front of Raycroft, I have no concerns. Poor Raycroft had the Leafs in front of him, lol. Manny had the Wings in front of him, and that made no difference in him getting exposed in the playoffs. Raycroft has played in the playoffs once, and his team was on the receiving end of a major upset (Montreal over Boston in 2004). That doesn't bode too well for his future. Lou_Siffer 1 Report post Posted July 4, 2007 I tend to agree... but don't have any facts to back that up. I have no facts either, but thinking about it, this is more than likely Hasek's last oppurtunity to cash in. He signed a dirt cheap 500K deal, he's going to take advantage of this situation and make some of that up now. Plus if what we've heard is accurate and the Kings are dangling a 2 yr/10 mill deal (which i wouldnt doubt for a second), even if Hasek fully intends on staying in Detroit there is no way him, and his agent especially, are going to look foolish enough to sign a 1yr /1. whatever contract. Thats why i feel its assuredly going to be pushed into the 3's before its all said and done.
OsGOD 3 Report post Posted July 4, 2007 but, can he/they fight? We know Norton cannot. Shiver me timbers!!!! they be both D... perhaps Kenny signed them both... only 11 more D-scallywag t' go now! atta lad Kenny... keep it up!

Thats why i feel its assuredly going to be pushed into the 3's before its all said and done. well, that's a much better argument/position than I've seen thus far. I don't know that Hasek is interested in "cashing in" at the Wings' expense. That doesn't sound right, given that he played for league minimum last season while putting up Vezina worthy numbers and getting the Wings to round three and all. And he gave up $3M in salary the last time around with the Wings. I don't see why Dom would want to go anywhere but Detroit, so the Kings' offer would be more leverage than anything like a real possibility. I don't think Dom will or should sign another deal where he's taking less than the lowest ranking rookie on the team, considering the responsibility that will again be heaped on his skinny shoulders. It made for a good story last season, but that was then and this is now. If his agent allowed that, he should be fired. I imagine Winter is already a bit perturbed that Hasek insisted on playing for next to nothing last season, to prove a point. Dom has been RW's cash cow for more than a decade. So I wouldn't be surprised if he's pushing Dom to not sign on the cheap, again, to play for an organization which clearly wants him back. Point proved. Flip-check 6 Report post Posted July 4, 2007 That's true Lou, actually.... yeah. I don't blame him either, honestly--that's your last nhl paycheck for a while (ummm yeah), Dom's going for something decent there but, can he/they fight? We know Norton cannot. you're scaring me now. No, now I'm scaring you
