Some ex-Red Wings will be playing tomorrow in the Summer Hockey Showcase. Has anybody ever gone? Will I have to buy separate tickets to each game? And not having to do with anything, but I wish Detroit never traded Knuble :( I think we got the 2nd round draft pick (Kopecky) for him, does anybody remember what/who else? Hopefully Kopecky will be awesome someday so it will be worth it, but I'm definitely more of a fan of keeping the hometown boys around.

It's pretty fun. It's just one price for all 3 games. Get there for the 50+ game....it's worth it just to watch Berenson play. That guy can play at half speed and still put up 6 points. I honestly don't think he'd look THAT out of place in the 35 and under game. Obviously he wouldn't be able to skate as fast as those guys, but he's still got skills (and that vicious backhand).

It doesn't look like as good of a group as they've had in years past. The list I saw didn't have Turco or Comrie or some of the others that are usually there, which is a bummer. But who knows who will end up showing up.

It's well worth going to...

The Wings got only the 2nd round pick (Kopecky) in return for Knuble.

Trading Knuble was a mistake. I said it when it happened, and I definitly stand by it now. He's become a prolific goal-scoring threat in the NHL (34 goals in 2005-2006), and we could really use him on this team. He's a perfect second-line player, and is also a right-handed shot.

Kopecky will never develop into anything more than a fringe player in the NHL. Bad trade all around.

Probably. Though who knows, something good might come of it eventually. Though I'd rather have Knuble RIGHT NOW. Would really shore up some of our short term needs.
