HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted September 7, 2007 That's so awesome and great of the Pens to do. HAHA the lady tells Crosby she doesn't think they'll win the Cup this year.
theman19 47 Report post Posted September 7, 2007 that's unbelievable, i don't live in Detroit, but i do live in Raleigh. If there was a chance Rod Brindamour or Eric Staal would show up at my door to deliever my season tickets, i'd definatly think about it.

Swayze 81 Report post Posted September 7, 2007 I wish Robert Lang personally delivered tickets to me. In that case, you'd probably get em half way through the season and they'd be delivered to the house next door.
MacK_Attack 108 Report post Posted September 7, 2007 The Leafs do something like that for training camp. You know, they have them run those ticket packages up to the top floor of those office towers via the emergency staircases. Who needs bag skates?
arnoldbuck 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2007 I know the Pens are trying to salvage their fans after a near decade of s*** hockey. And they finally have a potential great team ... but this is just amazing. For what its worth, our teams, overall marketing, advertisment and well, group who comes up with idea's liek this really must be looked at. Everything from public appearences, billboards, commercials, merchandise. Something has to be done. I know michigan is on hard times and that can account for many empty seats etc. but at the same time, a more entertaining product and fan friendly atmosphere could give a real boost the the greatest franchise in the world. SweWings 45 Report post Posted September 7, 2007 It's nothing but a marketing ploy to recover some fans but... I love it! A great idea and kudos to the guy who came up with it.

Guest Yzer19 Report post Posted September 7, 2007 (edited) I don't think this is such a good idea. The players are there to play hockey, not be delivery men. Edited September 7, 2007 by Yzer19
shannyfan1414 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2007 Wow thats pretty cool. I would love to know how the pens players feel about this one. I have to guess that they hate the idea and it drives them crazy that they are being forced to do it.
JayUp88 1 Report post Posted September 7, 2007 I think i would poop myself if i answered the door and it was Cheli handing me my season tickets. I would have to offer him a beer or two.
Hank 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2007 That's so awesome and great of the Pens to do. HAHA the lady tells Crosby she doesn't think they'll win the Cup this year. I would have kicked her in her old colon and then stole all her Matlock tapes.

Opie 308 Report post Posted September 7, 2007 The Lewiston maineiacs started doing this a couple of years ago. granted they are only QJMHL but I think it is a nice gesture by both the players and the team. They stopped doing it though because the kids got to Lewiston so close to the season it was hard to get all the tickets taken care of and still practice and "Study". OsGOD 3 Report post Posted September 7, 2007 I wonder what Mr. Moneybags would charge the poor season tickets here to have the team deliver the tickets out? I think it is great watching all the other teams do great stuff for fan interaction... My favorite is the Isles though with their Bowl with the players and a special night where you go to a restaruant and the players are all the servers... pretty cool stuff OTHER teams do for their fans. I wouldn't throw in any extra money for season tickets. They can mail them to me. Edited September 7, 2007 by Yzer19
Curban915 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2007 I'd be willing to throw in an extra $100 or so if it meant the Wings VP would deliver my tickets. Yes we know that can you tell us something new.
OsGOD 3 Report post Posted September 7, 2007 I'd be willing to throw in an extra $100 or so if it meant the Wings VP would deliver my tickets. Something tells me you would need to add more zeros to that number in D-town... Nothing Illy does is free (at least for the fans)
JayUp88 1 Report post Posted September 7, 2007 I would pay 100 also. This being my first year as a season ticket holder, is there anything special at all that we get?
OsGOD 3 Report post Posted September 7, 2007 (edited) I would pay 100 also. This being my first year as a season ticket holder, is there anything special at all that we get? This year... Guaranteed tickets to all games... Which in the past meant something when you couldn't get tickets but this season I have heard they are selling them at save-a-lot stores and other liquidation sites to try to get rid of their excess inventory You are a detroit red wings season ticket holder... isn't that enough for you? <--- thats what Illy thinks is enough to just have that title. Oh you get to pay 15 for parking if you prepay, same as us... you get to pay 12.50 for a $5 pizza... same as us... you get to save 10% off at "select" stores at the joe which are marked up by 30% at least... you get to pay $3.75 for a small pop, double for an adult pop... same as us... You get to prepay ALL the games of the season and eat the cost of the games you can't attend and can't sell... not the same as us who can go to any game and pay at the time decide to go....wheres the discount you ask? you tell me... that is why we dropped them this season. :flamingmad: Edited September 7, 2007 by OsGOD
Opie 308 Report post Posted September 7, 2007 For some one like me looking at this from a far it is kind of funny. Look at the organization, from the Hockey stand point there is none better than the wings. Then look at how they do with things like tix, food, and other fan related things and it looks like they are one of the worst in the league.
JayUp88 1 Report post Posted September 7, 2007 thats the thing, them being one of the best in the league mean they can run their tixs and food like s*** because people are still going to come. As for the season tickets, i wish we got a little something. Is there any like skate with the team stuff? I look at other website of different teams and they'll give you a jersey with your season tickets and such. for some reason i remember there being ticket packages last year or a year back that if you got the 10 tickets or whatever you got like an autographed puck or something. well i am buying all the tickets how about i at lest get a autographed puck

They plan it when the Wings are on a west coast trip so NO interaction with the player would occur, thus not throwing off the ellitnes of the Wings players.
