He did impede his progress... and it was Gaborik... and it was preseason, and it was Cullimore, lol If it was Lidstrom in the playoffs; no call for sure.

Positives: Downey , Maltby and Drake all played great. So did Howard and Osgood. Chelios is a beast, and Sopel has a cannon.

Negatives: We gave up a goal

Downey seems to be in the middle of things, but it always seems like he is the one being knocked down

Sopel can skate, but he gives up the puck a little too much for my liking

howard is nhl read in my opinion, and ozzie played great as well.

Yeah, that was a good hit by Cullimore. I hope he keeps it up, and knocks Lilja off the roster.

Great game tonight! Hopefully they can carry the momentum into Thursday. First home game of the season coming up, and it would be nice to get a win.

Too bad I didn't get to see much of Downey though... but good to hear he scored a goal.

Can't believe how much i missed hockey... it was like i was visiting an old friend all night. Those new uniforms make everyone look taller. Dats/Franzen/Holmstrom line looked great. Ryno is big, hope he develops. Cheli looks 25, how the f*** does he do it and where can I buy some of it? I can't wait to see Z, I just wish he had some better linemates... The same reason Lidstrom, Z, Hudler, Rafalski, Kronwall, etc... aren't playing. The team got cut in half. One of the top 2 lines and bottom 2 lines played today, as well as a handful of likely defensemen, and I'm guessing the other set play next. No need to fret.
