edicius 3,269 Report post Posted October 4, 2007 all i can say is that my team is LUCKY to get the 1 point u guys were getting chance after chance .. Bryz played great wings played better.... An objective Ducks fan? *welcomes Duck Guy with open arms* Seriously, though, Bryz was fantastic. Anaheim's gonna have some tough choices to make in goal in the future. russianswede919293 95 Report post Posted October 4, 2007 Dallas Drake needs a good nickname, especially since he is quickly moving up the ranks to my top 5 favorites on the team. All I got is Double-Dees but I don't really like it.... Any ideas
MIN8TV 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2007 Awesome game! I hate Chris Pronger!
Guest Agalloch Report post Posted October 4, 2007 Also, Rafalski played pretty good I thought. He made some brutal turnovers, but that's going to happen when you play your first game with new teammates and in a new system. I'm glad we finally have a right handed defenseman on the powerplay. Should help Lidstrom a lot, which in turn will help the rest of the PP out.
Vincanni 1 Report post Posted October 4, 2007 Good to see things left of from last season, only this time the Ducks didn't steal a win our win and we rightfully won, granted it should have been a lot easier then that, just how many perimeter shots are we going to try against a big pad monster? GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted October 4, 2007 I'm glad we got the 2 points, and now that the game is over I can sit down and write what I thought about the game. 1. Hank and Pavel were amazing, and it'll be hard for Babcock to resist not putting them together. 2. Sammy and Hudler didn't do much 5 on 5. They're gonna have to instead of sitting around and watching Hank do all the work on that line. We need their contribution. 3. Once again, too many empty seats at the Joe. It's opening night for crying out loud. What the hell else is there to do? 4. Perry is the biggest ****** in the NHL for fighting a 39 year old man and being afraid to take off his visor. I would have punched him in his adam's apple since it's the only area he's leaving unexposed. What a s***bag. 5. Lilja is lazy and he sucks. 6. Bertuzzi did more for them in this game then he did for us in the entire playoffs last year. It'll be interesting to see if he can keep it up at this rate. 7. Mowers is much funner to watch when he's playing for the other team. 8. Rafalski definitely gives us a weapon we haven't had for while from the point because of his right-handed shot, but I'd still rather see Lidstrom take most of the shots. theman19 47 Report post Posted October 4, 2007 Brian Raflaski did things tonite Schneider could never do. Granted he turned over the puck a bit to much for my liking, but lets see a breakaway chance by Matthew Schneider

Disagree with the Pain Train assessment, he actually played a pretty solid game today. But agree with everything else. Except I think that Sammy and Huddles were alright even strength not bad. edicius 3,269 Report post Posted October 4, 2007 Was Bertuzzi good tonight or lucky to get those two points. ...and if anybody is watching the dallas-colorado game tonight, Marty Turco is a magician. He was definitely lucky on his goal. I think it was Kopecky who doubleteamed another Duck instead of covering Bertuzzi. Plus the puck never would have gone to Bert if not for a lucky deflection off Lilja's skate. His other point was just a right place, right time play. And hells yes, Turco looks fantastic tonight. I have no idea how the Avs didn't score there. It's weird...I don't mind Dallas and Colorado anymore. Never really had much of a problem with Dallas, I guess. And the Avs, they don't have the goons of past and they have a hell of a captain in Sakic.

All I got is Double-Dees but I don't really like it.... Any ideas at the age of 58 years old, Dallas Drake does not need a nickname. remember, this is the guy that Bowman said "this is the dumbest hockey player I've ever coached". If you give him a nickname, he may get confusded as to who he is. so be careful. k.

edicius 3,269 Report post Posted October 4, 2007 'tis a good night. Wings win, Red Sox win. Ooof, Morrow just got hurt. Morrow got clocked in the face with Clarkson's calf after going down at the boards. Accidental, but still freaky looking.

GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted October 4, 2007 I disagree with anyone who says Bertuzzi was lucky. He's been healthy and great so far for the Ducks the first 3 games. I hope he doesn't make us regret that we didn't resign him.
