question about the high sticking penalty

But what Dom could do is mount a springboard over the net, climb up and jump on an opposing player's stick, which would then result in Dom's injury and a 4 minute penalty. Unless the ice had melted into a pool, in which case Dom would be called for diving.

Chelios and Lidstrom should have knives in there sticks (you know like those walking sticks you can take a part and their is a knife in the shaft) and every time Iginla skates by tonight they could fall on their sticks, cutting themselves and bleeding so bad it makes Malarchuck's wound look like a scratch and then they could say Iginla did it, and after 6 of them die the league will have to do some thing about Iginla killing everyone.

The wings can then draft Dick Tracy as both a defensive replacement and as a detective to figure out what is going on. But since he is on the wings payroll he will point the finger at Iginla, the league, happy to have this horrible situation over with, will award the Cup to the wings and make Dick Tracy the Conn Smythe winner.

what if Chelios physically picks the opponents goalie up, forces him into the puck outside of the trapezoid and then falls on the goalies stick, causing bleeding, all whilst Draper and Maltby are pulling players out of the opponents bench and Ledba purposely runs into an opponent causing him to go face first into the boards

2 minute minor for goalie delay of game

4 minute double minor for high sticking

2 minute minor for too many men on the ice

5 minute major for boarding and a 10 minute game misconduct

for a grand total of.... drum roll....

23 MINUTES OF POWERPLAY TIME!

Actually, since your scenario is completely logical :P , the actual powerplay time (assuming no goals are scored) would be about 7 minutes, the first 6 minutes would be a 2 man advantage.

yes, you are actually right about that... did I forget my [joke][/joke] tag?

the major would be accessed right away, since it's a major - guaranteeing 5 minutes of PP

the delay of game and the double minor, since accessed to the same player, would be added - equaling 6 minutes

then, since a team cannot have less than 3 skaters, the delay of game would not kick in until another penalty had expired (either the 5 minute major, or one of the minors before)

so, yes, if these penalties were ever actually accessed in order, assuming NO goals were scored, it would be 7 minutes, with 6 of those being a 5-3

alright so from what i understand its 2 minutes just for having your stick hit a guy in the face. its 4 minutes if you draw blood.

ok so what if chris chelios put his stick under an opponents stick and lifted it up to hit himself in the face. would the opponent still get a 2 minute penalty.

also, sometimes in wrestlings wrestlers will use hidden razors to cut themselves for dramatic effect. what would stop chris chelios from hiding a razor in his glove. after he hits himself in the face with his opponents stick he would fall to the ground, act like his is hurt, slyly take out the razor and cut his face drawing blood.
