Which active player will have his jersey retired?

Though not the most predictable.

$4M would go a long way towards shoring up the 18 skaters up front. Dom can mend a few bridges so the ceremony next season will be properly teary-eyed and not filled with too much grumbling in various corners of whatever the arena in Buffalo is called. In fact we could use the space freed up by Dom to liberate Fedorov later in the year so his ceremony can happen during our lifetimes and not when all the boo-birds have passed on.

Dom wont be traded, and were not gonna get Feds. Hasent he stated before he doesnt want to come back? Also, Why would Babcock want Fedorov on his team? He brings none of the intangibles that Babs likes in a hockey player, same reasons he didnt like Lang.

The names that come to mind are Lidstrom (Detroit), Modano (Dallas) and Brodeur (NJ), Iginla (Calgary), Sundin (Toronto), Roenick? Amonte? Belfour? (Chicago) and then some younger players like Ovechkin (Washington), Crosby (Pittsburgh), Zach Parise (NJ) and Ryan Getzlaf (Anaheim) would have a chance, but you just don't know....Also I think everyone on this board is tired of this whose number will be retired.

I know and it sucks. If anything I believe Fedorov has hinted towards the opposite. Playoff Fedorov is everything Babcock loves in a player. Fedorov is NOTHING like Robert Lang.

I could see Modano in Dallas, maybe, someday. They're not a number-retiring type of club, but that Stanley Cup banner is pretty lonely up there. And Mike is pretty much the face of the franchise, I guess.

Modano will definitely have his jersey retired he holds wayyy to many franchise records not to and has been there since the north stars.

1. No, no he has not. Where the hell are you getting this?

2. You're right. Playoff Fedorov hasn't been seen in the last 2 years whilst playoff Robert Lang has

Modano will defiantly have his jersey retired he holds wayyy to many franchise records not to and has been there since the north stars.

Definitely. And perhaps defiantly as well, knowing Mikey Mo. He's known to say what he thinks. j/k, DG.... :D

Mike's put up with a lot, there, too. Including having the "C" taken from him. He stuck it out and played like a champ, in spite of or because of?? I dunno. But he's a fan favorite for sure.

Maybe Zubov has a chance there, too. He's awesome, a Russian Nick Lidstrom, 11 years in Dallas, and counting.

1) He hasn't hinted either way really although he did recently tell a story that he had agreed to a deal with Detroit but it fell through at the last minute. He gave the impression that he wasn't holding a grudge.

2) Are we talking about the same Federov who won two Selke trophies and a Hart trophy in Detroit? Did you ever even watch him play when he was on a good team? To imply that Federov is lazy or a poor two way player is nothing but profound and willfull ignorance. Unless you were being ironic, it's still not funny though.

hahah oops... damn my l33t spelling skillz. Dallas is an ok team in my book sometimes i root for them mostly i dont but i really like watching him so they will retire his # or i will raise hell. And Zubie is pretty cool 2.

What's to stop Chris Chelios from retiring his number himself?

And while we're on the subject of LGW cliche jokes, I think Mark Mowers will have his retired league wide. He's a HOF'er that leaves Gretzky in the dust.
