"How about the fact that I pay for the NHL center ice package, but dont get the NHL network"

That is total BS. I'm sorry. You have been ripped off. It least, I got two periods.

If I am reading the schedule correctly from the NHL website, Sunday's game is also only on the NHL channel (for those that can't get FSN). The following was also just posted on the NHL website:

NHL Network continues to increase distribution NHL.com Nov 14, 2007, 10:25 AM EST

Eighteen cable providers sign on to distribute NHL Network

NEW YORK – NHL Network, the first national network dedicated entirely to hockey, has secured distribution through 18 more U.S. cable providers in addition to the seven largest distributors previously announced.

Bermuda Cablevision; Blue Ridge Communications; Bresnan; Bright House Networks; CATV Service; Communication Construction Services; En-Touch Systems, Inc.; Grande Communications; Marco Island Cable; Massillon Cable TV, Inc.; MINET; Midcontinent; OpenBand Multimedia; RCN; Service Electric Cable TV; Service Electric Cablevision; Shrewsbury Electric and Cable Operations; and Zito Media are now distributing NHL Network.

NHL Networknow will be accessible to 80 million homes based on all of the carriage arrangements, including those with Cablevision, Charter Communications, Comcast, Cox Communications, DIRECTV, DISH Network® and Time Warner Cable.

NHL Network, which launched in Canada in 2001, gives viewers unprecedented 24-hour access to the most comprehensive hockey coverage, on and off the ice. NHL Network will broadcast 50 live regular-season games in the U.S. this season, all in HD, in addition to its daily live signature show – NHL on the Fly - - classic games, documentaries, instructional shows, highlights and more.

The U.S. and Canadian versions of NHL Network have similar programming schedules. Initially, the major difference in the two channels is in live NHL game selections, with each channel focusing on games of greater interest to its fans. All live NHL games will be televised in high-definition on the full-time HD feed (all games subject to local blackout).

This past Sunday the NHL network had a 30 minute segment looking at Steve Yzerman's top 10 goals, so I can't complain about their coverage. They do talk a lot about the Leafs, but it's a Canadian network so what can you expect.

That was a great segment on Stevie.

I enjoy the NHL Network. I really like "On the Fly" so I can check out the best from each game around the league.

But I wish they'd play more shows from yesteryear like "Chasing the dream". They would follow a minor league team and their players around showing the audience what it was like and what it took to make the NHL. It was great TV.

I agree, I watched "On The Fly" for the 1st time on Monday and I really liked it. I have DirecTV so right now I am in HEAVEN! NHL Net, Big Ten Net, NFL Net...yay buddy! Comcast can you-know-what! ( but that's a whole 'nother rant!! )

I understand your frustration, but let's try that in post-Third Grade mode. ;)

For anyone that doesn't live in MI or has the package should love this channel. I'll take the NHL network over versus ANYDAY. It's true they do they do show a lot of classic games and highlights of games throughout the night (which is good cause I can see how the Wings scored that night), but they show a lot more full live games than versus does.

They show the same highlights 20 hours out of the day with a few miscellaneous "Best of" shows. The commentary is bad to.

So do you prefer Dennis Miller's commentary on versus?

I haven't really watched it in-depth yet where I am from, but what I skimmed I liked. As for it blacking out other NHL games, I'll have to reserve judgment on that, never really tried it out if the Wings were blacked out (if they were) or at any point in the season yet.

I'm not hard to please. I definitely can appreciate HD TV or 20,000,000 camera angles to show a game, but I just need t the basics. If they show hockey in color, I'm satisfied.

Stuff like HD or commentary is secondary to me.

Sucks..

All it shows is Top 10 Hatricks of the 90's. and Finals games from the 80's and 90's.. nothing very interesting

only thing i watch is

NHL On The Fly, which is good for catching up on the other games around the leugue that day..Not bad but could use alot of tweaking.

NFL Network, was weak when it first came out, now its doing great.. so idk.
