Anybody have Datsyuk VS interview from last night?

Just wondering if anyone has the interview Pavel did last night with VS, where he joked about getting paid to wear their towel, and thanked the guy for calling him young???

for some reason VS didn't post it on their site, they only posted the Zetterberg post game interview. any help would be greatly appreciated.

i don't have it but i tried to watch it....wow...i guess im just to much of a hillbilly because i understood about 2 things he said.

For real. I figured his English was a little better than that since he's been in the states for about 5 years now. Of course, it's harder for him to learn English since most of his teammates don't speak it that well either.

I fast-forwarded past the Datsyuk interview, but I did hear the brief chat they had with Gordie Howe during game play. I hate to say it, but he almost sounds like he could use a coherence translator or something. He was rambling on like a confused old man.

I totally understand what your saying. I think the question he was asked was something like "Was it more special winning the Cup against the Canadiens instead of another team?" and his response had something to do with winning faceoffs. He didn't understand the question whatsoever.

i totally agree with you.. its really sad that players cant speak their minds. instead they have to result to "well, we need to stay on our game, play hard. the other team is playing well. they have a good team. bulls*** bulls*** bulls***"

its SO annoying. if i was a player it wouldnt care about a measily fine and would totally speak my mind!

That's because the moment a player speaks his mind the media is all over it trying to create controversies that don't exist.

If he said, well it really comes down to Dom needs to make saves and the D needs to help clear the crease, every sports website will put an article out that says "Datsyuk feuding with goalie and D-men" or something like that.

So in order to avoid team controversy and putting up bulletin board material for the other team you get, "We need to play 100% on every shift" or the new favorite "We have things we can get better at, we know we are not perfect."

It is the nature of the new media world, with so many new outlets for reporters they are all making up stories because their website needs a story every day or what ever, lots of times most of the things we read are so blown out of proportion it isn't even funny!
