pjgj13 30 Report post Posted December 30, 2007 I just happened to glance at the standings, I do it maybe once a week or so. Even for as crappy as they have played in their division (6-6-2) and their record against the rest of the league is obviously 23-1-1. If they would have "dominated" in the division as they were expected to, they might have clinched the division by late Jan / early Feb if they kept up at their pace. It would be nice to see them challenge for the best record all-time AND win the cup. Hopefully the Pistons and Tigers win their respective titles..... shannyfan1414 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2007 I'm happy to see the team playing well so far. There is nothing better then watching the wings kick but night in and night out. I would much rather watch them strugle in the regular season and then dominate in the playoffs. I wouldn't mind seeing some type of losing streak in the near future. NOthing to major but a slump that will help them remember that they can still lose on any given night.

VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted December 30, 2007 Since when does a losing streak equal adversity? That's retarded. They don't need to lose any games. THey need to have CLOSE games. They need to fight and scrap for every opportunity and pull games out that they have no business winning. That is how you prepare for the playoffs. Fighting from behind (like last night versus Phoenix) is how they prepare. Gritty games like against the Avs the other night is how they prepare. Losing is how you lose confidence and make bad reactionary decisiosn that affect the team long-term. There is a danger in being overconfident in the playoffs or feeling invincible, but there's an even greater danger in not having faith in your team and forgetting how to win.
